My mother-in-law is turning 70 years old. All my husband's siblings wanted to have a party for her at a restaurant. So my husband and I decided to go to my mother-in-law's favorite restaurant to ask for prices. We discussed it with all of my husband's siblings and my sister-in-law (husband's brother's wife) does not want to pay and thinks it is too expensive. However, it the expenses will be split with the 5 siblings.

She claims that they have no money (which is a lie). They have the money to have an expensive birthday weekend for her husband.

May I also add that the birthday party for my mother-in-law won't be until the spring, which will be plenty of time for them to save money.

I just feel that she is being selfish. My in-laws have done alot for all of their children. She is also one of my mother-in-law's favorites. I would just love to tell her that her favorite daughter-in-law is really a selfish witch.

ok so finally my ex boyfriend jake asked me to the dance and i said yes, but there was something weird...after that, like an hour later, we were hanging out cuz ya kno, were friends, and he told me he was sry for breaking up with me and said it was cuz of family issues...and i totally believe him, his grandma and great grandma died in the same week...so when he said he was sry about that...does that mean were back together? i dont wanna ask, that would be just too weird.

So I might possibly go visit a woman I have been dating who has been home sick this past week tonight. Obviously with her dealing with her cough etc and just getting over it...we won't be making out ...but when I leave at the end of the night...is it appropiate to kiss her on the cheek or forehead...or where is the best place to kiss her I guess.

No wise crack remarks either...just an honest question as far as what would be correct to do. Thanks

I ended our relationship a couple of weeks now, and i thought he got the picture, but i just spoke to him and he said that he was just letting me go through a phase and that he does not want to hear that we are through, he said that he never ended the relationship and that he knows nothing about that, he kept on saying he does not want to hear that we are through. The thing is i have a bf already, (it was kind of soon, maybe too soon) but he is really sweet, he shows me affection that i have never felt, and i am not giving him up for anything, The relationship with my ex was never abusive, he had some issues with his ex among other things with his lifestyle, and neither of which has change, the thing that really scares me is the fact that i thought he had got the picture and i'm affraid of what might happen if he sees me with my current boyfriend. Please give me advice on the matter, he was my first relationship and sexual partner.. My ex does not know about my current boyfriend.

I really like this guy and my best friend knows it. I've liked him for about two years now and in one point in time i think he liked me to but i was to shy to say n-e thing about it. yea i know bad move. but n-e way. lately my best friend has been all over him. just today she was sitting on his lap for about a half hour right in front of me. Looking at me with this innocent look on her face like she wasnt doing n-e thing wrong. Its funny though because she has a boy friend that she says she loves soooo much. She had his name written on her hand but when the guy i like (love?) asked her who he was all she said was a dude. That "dude" is the person she talks about getting married too and haveing his kids. What would you call that? Does she really care about me, i mean this is the girl that says shed die b-4 letting n-e one hurt me, yet here she is jabbing a knife in my heart? Is this a person I should count as my best friend? my friend? my enemy? im so confused right now!!!

So my friend and I were at the Pizza place the other day. We had a coupon, but then there was an in store add for some brownies, he said that we could not get the promotion because we were using a coupon. My friend says, "But you should give us the deal because we are hot chicks" He did not respond. Does that mean that he was intimidated by our hottness?

I know a few guys that have cats - they say cats are better coz they don't have a yard for a dog to poop all over. I've met their cats, and they seem awfully cute - but when they are with their cats, they get awfully weird, but not at all masculine as I hope they would be.

This year, I am at the high school, and all the same people are there, but just about 500 more kids. I don't mean to sound snobbish, but I was popular last year, and most of my friends who were popular won't even acknowledge me anymore! Help!

My parents like to sit around and talk constantly. They shy away from any activity and act like all they want to do is talk talk talk and eat eat eat. They are visiting me this weekend, and I'm already going nuts. If I take them to the movies, they talk through the movie and make it so no-one can hear anything...My dad is really loud and overbearing and always makes a scene when we go to a restaurant. Last night, my Mom asked our waitress how her husband died! How can I deal with things like this? I will see them in a half-hour. They also have their crazy little poodle with them! I love them so much, but it's really hard to be around them.

I have known my husband for 2 years. We had an arguement recently. He made a comment I didn't like therefor I swore at him. Then he shouted at me and swore back telling me all those hurtful things and eventually slapped me in the face by a pillow. I was shocked and devasted and crushed. For I thought he is not the type. I thought he isn't an emotional abuser. I feel so much hurt as if I don't know him anymore. We have a beautiful loving relationship. What shall I do? Shall I forgive him and believe him when he says that he will never do it again? I feel so scared.
