Ok, this is both of ours 2nd wedding. I was thinking something small and informal. He is talking 350 guests and wants me in a big white dress. Our wedding is only 8 months away. I don't care either way, but is it ok to have a big traditional wedding when it is the 2nd time around for both of us?

Alright, honestly who among us wants to admit this? Not I for sure. I love my fiance dearly. Nothing, including his parents, is going to keep us from being married. That said, how much mistreatment am I supposed to tolerate? His mom basically told him to choose between me and them. He chose me. Seems simple enough. But he is miserable. So I guess either way I am damed. I can tell he wants to have a relationship with his parents even though he was told to choose. Am I just supposed to pretend they do not say hateful things about me? Am I suposed to pretend I don't care how they treat my kids? Am I supposed to ignore when they do and say something hateful to a person I love? I really do not understand this. Why would anyone want to put themselves through all of that. I would be very content to turn our backs on the whole hateful situation, but that doesn't really seem to be an option. So has anyone else been through anything like this? If so I would appreciate any words

My bf and I have been together for over 2 years now, living together for almost 1. Things have been great, we are very close and have a great time together. He has been working 500 miles away for about 6 months now, but we see each other every weekend. He used to say that he was going to marry me someday, and I liked to hear it, even though I knew we weren't ready. Well.....I am ready now, and he isn't doing anything about it. It's not even the ring, it's the promised commitment I'm looking for from him. We are both in our late 20's. How can I let him know how important this is to me, without making it sound like an ultimatum?

We all know that confidence is key when dating. You attract varies types of people when you give off the feeling of self-assurance about yourself.

So, my question is, would you be willing to date someone who is obese or 'chunky' if they had self-confidence in the way they carried themselves?

I know I have before.

I hate it when my ex thinks that just because i'm helping her and giving her company she would always without shame touch me all over. It makes me mad sometimes and i am on a "build a bridge over three days and leave her permanently" plan. She is so insecure that she gets phone call 24/7 and when i ask the reason she says she called all her "friends" over the days that we were not around (she's the one who broke up with me) and they are just calling back. Btw. she just hangs up on all of them.

Why am I so doubtful??
I am dating a guy who is great. He's very honest, and I trust that he would never cheat. I know that he has strong character, and that he strives to do the right thing, so my doubts don't stem from him.
I get freaked out though. He is away at school, and I can only see him every other weekend or so. I have a busy life too, so even though the distance sucks, It's probably better . But I can't seem to get over my insecurity. I am an otherwise strong and stable person, but I get anxiety about him- does he feel as strongly as I do? Are his feelings changing? Is the distance thing going to be too hard for him? What if this isn't going to work out? What if I'm wasting my time? What if...what if...
I can't stand that I'm being so fearful- it seems irrational. I think that he might be able to pick up on the fact that I feel insecure, and we all know how unnatractive THAT is!! can anyone relate to this??
Any suggestions on how to change my attitude?

Help me solve this problem please. Me and my partner split up and i am still living in our house, he is fine with that but now we are talking about finalising things properly. I desp want to stay in my house but the mortgage is quite hefty, i couldnt afford it. The only way i can afford it is to have my dad as a guarantour, not really sure what that entails yet but i feel awful asking my dad as he is getting old and retired. What do i do? Its wreckin my head!! Plus my ex wants his payout frm house, how do i afford that too???

My husband was adventurous with the other women in his life; all of whom were Caucasian or some other race. I'm one of only two African-American women he has been with and he never married any of the others, but why can't he have the same passion with me. I will admit I have a problem with his history when it comes to women. He is a wonderful man and takes excellent care of our new family, so why can't I get over his early penchance for non-black women. I guess I'm creating a problem when I shouldn't because a lot of women would say if he is good to you why think about the past. It's just sometimes I find myself wondering if he misses the other women. How can I get over this and stop comparing myself to the pictures of white women I see in his photo albums.
