Because it is healthier to be married. Besides, fornication is a sin.

My boyfriend and I have been living together for 2 years. I think it is time we get married because I personally get tired of saying that I live with my boyfriend...it sounds trashy like we are just shacked up together. He is more than my boyfriend in my mind but legally that is all he is. Another reason is because if anything was to happen to the other one i.e. carwreck, terrible disease...etc. you have no rights/say in what happens to your loved one no matter how long you have been together. Me personally I just think it is the right thing to do.

Because every girl has a dream wedding! Plus it's easier in the long run if the two people actually love each other and don't get a divorce... like for insurance policies and stuff like that. The couple is also more respected if they have kids. It's just the right thing to do...

To me there's not as big of a commitment if your not married. It's even easier to leave and not look back.
Other reasons may be health insurance. Most companies only provide it to partners if you're married. Not to mention, that if something ever happened and you're on life support, your partner has no rights to make health decisions. If in certain cases where it's family only, your partner won't even be able to see you in the hospital (happened to a friend of mine).
I guess it depends on who you are, the situation you are in, and what your value system is.

It's a sin, if the other partner dies you have no legal tie to them for insurance or to make decisions like pulling the plug or not. You should get married if you are going to have children. If you just want a roommate get one.

If you are living in sin together, stop it. You should be married before you shack up. But if you are getting the milk for free, why commit? Why not bring home several girls. Why not, you arent committed. Bring em all home....

Oh, i don't know... morality maybe?
However there's also benefits of having less tax, not to mention the security between you two, financially AND romantically. Also, if one of you have a health plan, you can both be insured on it...
Also... respect... but then again, that comes with the morality also.

Because is the right thing to do in the eyes of God!!
Other good reasons: is that you get the right to make decisions for each other, in case of emergency's (one of yall in the hospital, give consent). If one of you die, then you get the right to keep their belongings (if no will), instead of them being given away to foster homes etc.. YOU SIMPLY GET WAY MORE BENEFITS/ADVANTAGES IF YOU ARE A SPOUSE, YOU GET TO MAKE IMPORTANT DECISIONS IN EMERGENCY'S.
This is Nationally talking, I think they are good enough reasons!! don't you????
