I like a girl at work - i think she knows it. But i feel that she is being influenced by rumours and gossip about me which are complete untrue! How do i convince her that they are lies and that these words are from people who feel insecure about themselves!

His name is Michael Dean Williams. We went to North High School Toghether from 1977-1980. We joined the Army Delayed Entry in 1980 but he disappeared when we went to get him to leave for boot camp. I have been trying to track him down but there are so many Mike Williams around it's not east. When we met he was living with his grandmother in an apartment over some buisness. If anyone may know him or where I might try looking please help. I've tried Wichita phone books, School mate web sites etc. What else?

My husband and I haven't spoken to each other in 3 weeks, more or less(literally not spoken). I can't stand being around him cause he pays no attention to me. We live in another country and in Oct. I'm planning a trip to visit fam in the US. I'm thinking of using that trip to just up and leave forever. I really can't stand the indifferance and I actually for the first time enjoy the attention men give me. I'm a nice person (I think) but I feel unappreciated around him. So the question is.. will he even care if I up and leave? Should I even do it? "Talking things through" is simply out of the question. Wont work.

I sit in the cafeteria at work and everytime I look up and I happen to meet eyes with this one guy. He gives me a really serious stare. One time he was walking past me and he just kind of stopped and looked at me. Then walked on. Maybe he was confused about something he was doing. But I only catch him doing this when we happen to meet eyes. I'm seen him pass by and not stare at me. But I feel like one day he said something to his friend he was with because he looked back and me and had a smile on his face. What could this guy be saying about me. Do you think he's saying something mean. He does seem stuck up. I'm not overweight. But is he saying he thinks I'm ugly. I just don't understand what I've done that he's doing this to me. I mean he looks to be 22 and I'm 30. What's his problem?

Whenever my guy and I have a disagreement, I don't believe in heated confrontations, so I will usually walk away until things chill a bit. Twice in the past couple of months, he has "shown up" after following me after a disagreement to insist that we talk. There is no physical abuse, that's why I'm not real "worried" . The only reason I asked him for a little space is because I wanted to talk rationally, so I left and asked that we talk on the phone. Instead, he drove like 15 miles out of his way after following me to insist we should talk, and would not let me get in my car. He just stood in front of it and insisted that I agree to talk in person. This has happened like twice in 2 or 3 months. He follows me places, and insists that we talk. Advice, please? I just want to be sure there is not a budding problem here.....

Not only is she rude to most everyone, she can dish it out but not take any kind of critisism, this is the kind of person you have to walk on eggshells because she has several mood swings, she uses people for what she needs and after she gets what she wants she ignores you. Unfortunetly I work with her and our job is mostly to meet and greet people and she is lousy at it.

She talks to people anyway she wants to and people answer her back rudly she starts to complain. We work in a school and our job is to maintain peace and meet and greet visitors. she is a monster who needs to be put in her place, but how to do it and still be able to work with her, any ideas?

soo, this good looking girl and i get to talking. The conversation took a funny path and we started describing one another. Two weeks before our Homecoming dance, I asked this boy to go with me. He sounded sincere when he said he couldnt go because of out of town arrangements. We were pretty close that night and I believe he was hitting on me since then every morning. The night of the dance comes and when im walking down the steps onto the floor i see him turn the other way alnd walk away. I get very upset and i cant control myself and the way i feel. I have to go to the bathroom. One of my friends goes up and yells at him. I cant stand to talk to him. I finally go up and he says it wasnt his fault, that the storms cancelled his flight. I dont know what to believe. I think he was lying but i dont know how to find out. He said hed show me the papers if i wanted to see them. Ive been standing my ground this week not talking to him but i dont know what to do..should i talk to him or not.....

As a single mom who has never been married and went through prenancy and raising my son alone... I am now in a serious relationship with a man who was married for 9 years and had 3 kids with her.

I met this guy a little over a month ago and he is just playing games with me and I am not sure why. If you look at these questions and answers it's clear that we have a strong theme among us -- many of us are in relationships with people that aren't the love of our lives. I'm wondering why? Did you choose to be with someone for practical reasons? Is the love of your life just impossible to deal with? Is being alone better than being with someone that is just a good companion?
