Two weeks before our Homecoming dance, I asked this boy to go with me. He sounded sincere when he said he couldnt go because of out of town arrangements. We were pretty close that night and I believe he was hitting on me since then every morning. The night of the dance comes and when im walking down the steps onto the floor i see him turn the other way alnd walk away. I get very upset and i cant control myself and the way i feel. I have to go to the bathroom. One of my friends goes up and yells at him. I cant stand to talk to him. I finally go up and he says it wasnt his fault, that the storms cancelled his flight. I dont know what to believe. I think he was lying but i dont know how to find out. He said hed show me the papers if i wanted to see them. Ive been standing my ground this week not talking to him but i dont know what to do..should i talk to him or not.....

Well if his flight got cancelled, then why didn't he tell you that he was going to the dance after all..? His flight could of really been cancelled, you never know. Come right out and ask him... Not talking and being angry won't solve anything.

Sometimes lying can be backed with paperwork, but tell him his proof would be a start. Since your feelings appear really volatile, maybe just tell him that his showing up at the dance threw you for a loop. See what he has to say to that.

Talk to him to show him that you don't give a **** it does sounds like he was lying because if he wasn't he wouldn't reacted the way he did when he seen you he would have ad-knowledge you and came up to you and told you what happened

Sounds like he is playing games.Cat and mouse(you are the mouse and he is the cat) Or he could of just said yes to be nice and really didn't want to go and didn't know how to tell you, but I would ignore him because he atleast owes you an explanation. I hope he isn't really poor and couldn't afford something to wear. Do you know if his family is stable?

Funny enough I've been there. not a flight but sort of the same thing. if i was you I'd talk to him but don't put yourself out there. If he really likes you then he'll keep talking but if not then tell him to f@ck off...
There are lots of guys out there... don't settle for a loser...

well that was odd if his flight had canceled he could have called you. don't worry about him if he lie about something that simple he will lie about anything. sometimes we have feelings about things and they are right. your young go on with your life the right person will come along and you will not have to worry about him lying to you.
