Ask them "why do you want to know?" - they won't expect that & there's really no good answer!!!

answer with a question every time until they give up. If they're rude and inquisitive ask them about their personal lives. For example: Oh you don't want to know about my boring life....Let's talk about yours! and start firing away with all the ammunition you got on them. how many times you have sex? the more uncomfortable the question the more effective it is.

Striking conversation is not always prying into ones personal life, but curiosity to save soemone else from making the same mistakes makes them ask./

yes, people often say rude things.
another one of my pet peeves is when people say
"what ARE you?" meaning your ethnicity i suppose but i feel like they are asking are you an alien or what planet are you from, i'm human!

umm. regarding marriage. 1st, unless this is like your boss or someone you have to be nice or cordial to, give them a one liner and don't feel you have to elaborate. say : "we are currently separated" and just change topic. they'll get the hint.

Tell them - "I'm not a sports fan."

If not annuled or divorced then you say - "Nothing. What have you heard?"

Give them a look that tells them you really don't believe it's any of their business and if they ask again then simply rely I don't know.

LMAO I think that the "YOU TELL ME" is an awesome answer. Knowing most people who want to pry already have ideas.
