I can understand a doctor or teacher reporting parents to dfacs if they see more than one or two abusive signs. But why do cases get started by some wacko reporting a one time incident they seen. Example: a kid has a bruise on them and goes to a field trip to the police station. the officer reports the kids parent to dfacs. would an parent really let their kid go on a field trip to a police station if they were abusive? I feel as if a lot of false reporting goes on and wastes the social workers time and effort when they could be investigating "real" cases. I think if someone sees a single bruise, that is not cause to report. Kids get bruises. If the kid is riddled with bruises, cuts, whatever, that's different.

My other half is a truck driver, he is away most of the week and is home on the weekend. I am 20 years younger than him. When he comes home - he's just not interested in sex, says he's too tired. they have a baby, 1 yr old... last yr there was a ruckus at thanks -giving over my sons first born, 5 yrs now, and things got bad... ms thing went balistic over something that was NOT her concern. she kept the baby (1yr old) from us out of spite... and now I learn she is supposedly cheating on my son while he is in another state working.... he came home and found out, I have not talked to him in about 7 months, ms. thing also worked her magic on him, and he no longer associates with any of his family... anyway, the mess that was started at Thanksgiving was all her doing, NO ONE said a word to her during her whole tirad, we took our other , then 4 yr old grandson and left their house... never to see the other grandson again, once since then, and now that is over too.. I can not tolerate her even for the sake of seeing the baby... all gifts to baby were returned to us by her.. I just do not know what to do about it all.... to all you grands out there, have you had to draw such a line ?

I email my ex at least once a month and have done so for 8 months now. I told him in the beginning that is he didn't want me to email him to tell me to stop.
I found out that I was pregnant after he left and have kept him up to date on our daughter's well being and sent him pictures of her ultrasounds.
He never responds , but i am aware that he logs into the web every time i send an email. So I get the feeling that he reads them all. Is this okay ? It is OUR daughter , and he has a right to know whats going on,
or is it crazy for me to continue to email him the pics and updates. My Daughter will be born in less than a month and I plan to continue sending him pictures and updates. I am I crazy or just okay. Should I continue to do so even though someone else has decided to be her father (through the signing of paternity forms) ?

Here's the thing. I'm pretty much a perfectionist, and my boyfriend is pretty much the complete opposite. We've been living together for about 6 months, and we're still kind of getting used to eachother. I'm really trying hard to let things go and not get worked up, but sometimes it's so hard. There are certain things that I've asked him over and over numerious times to do certain things, and when I get home from work at night (10-11 pm) these things are not often done. Things such as turning the air up before he goes to bed, filling things when you use the last of them, dumping the garbage when it's full. I'm just so frustrated!! Do I let these things slide every time, or do we get in a fight about it every time?? Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
