they have a baby, 1 yr old... last yr there was a ruckus at thanks -giving over my sons first born, 5 yrs now, and things got bad... ms thing went balistic over something that was NOT her concern. she kept the baby (1yr old) from us out of spite... and now I learn she is supposedly cheating on my son while he is in another state working.... he came home and found out, I have not talked to him in about 7 months, ms. thing also worked her magic on him, and he no longer associates with any of his family... anyway, the mess that was started at Thanksgiving was all her doing, NO ONE said a word to her during her whole tirad, we took our other , then 4 yr old grandson and left their house... never to see the other grandson again, once since then, and now that is over too.. I can not tolerate her even for the sake of seeing the baby... all gifts to baby were returned to us by her.. I just do not know what to do about it all.... to all you grands out there, have you had to draw such a line ?

she was disrespectful to us, to her mother and to her grandfather, whom I might add just buried his wife like 3 days before.. she cussed and screamed and threatened my son... days later the cops were called on her for abuse , hitting my son, on the side of a raod, ppl saw and called... she blames ME I might add for it all... I promise you, not a word was spoken at any time.. I dont find it worth fighting her and making the life of my little grand baby worse.. she is basicaly a good mother, just not good to others.. and I mean NO others... there is more, but I think you grand parents and parents get the drift here.....

She sounds awful. However, I don't think she deserves all your rage. If your son is old enough to father a child, he is old enough to make his own decisions about with whom he and his children associate. He is also old enough to choose his life partner and as such must accept the consequences of her actions. The issue, if I might be blunt, is between you and your son.

if you have the money.. you can always take her to court for Grandparent rights. The only bad thing is.. the only rights you have.. are certain days a week.. or every few weeks.. in HER home. If they were my grandbabies, I'd suck it up, be as polite as possible while there.. then maybe she'd let me take them to the park or someplace out of her house. I'm sorry she's such a nasty daughter in-law.

my daughter got mad at me when I wouldn't co-sign for her to get an apt. she give me the quilt lines, like there are shelters for homeless people, I told her she and her husband ruin their credit, so why should I give her the chance to ruin mine..but she cooled down, I have three grand-kids from her..but all is well, she had told me I was a disgrace of a mother..but believe me I am feeling your hurt, and there is not much to do but leave them alone...Sorry I will pray for you....

So....your problem is with you son, who seems unable to pick a decent woman to have kids with.
