Would you 1 not say anything?
Two, confront her?
Three ask, for a divorce?
Or ask what you can do to fix the problem?

My girlfriend and I of nearly 4 ½ years are getting engaged, and I want to ask her father for her hand in marriage. I know him pretty well, as she and I have grown up together - we both turned 18 a couple weeks ago. I just want to do this right, as it’s a once in a lifetime event. I was wondering if you all had any idea’s on were I should ask him (without her knowing about it) - and that possibly gives him a heads up as to what is going on. I would hate to catch him off guard, though I seriously doubt I will. How should I tell him? I don’t want it to seem like I’m asking for his permission, as we are both adults - but I want him to know that I respect him and his blessing matters. However, no matter what he says, I will be marrying her. How should I word it? Please don’t say ‘I want to marry your daughter’, cause that doesn’t help. Anyone who’s been in this situation before, please, help me out! Even if you haven’t, I could use the advice!

I've been with this guy for a little while now and it was fun but after awhile I felt like there was no more spark and I wanted to leave but everytime I get mad and leave he'd come to my house and I'd just get over it but I feel bored with the relationship and he acts like he cares for me but he hasn't told me he loves me and there was this one guy who I felt liked me and i liked him but we never meet, I just knew him from myspace and he said I love you in a comment and I was the #1 spot on his top 8, it just made me feel happy and I want to get to know him too but I'm affraid that If I even leave to go meet other people things will go bad, do you think I should test what else is out there?

My fiance and I need a song for our first dance at our wedding, but we don't want any over-used or cliche ones, like "endless love", "God blessed the broken road", etc.
"Our" song isn't one to be played at the wedding (it's "here without you", long story), but all the ones that my friends suggest are ones that are overplayed all the time, and i want something special. Any ideas?

I am 25 and getting married in 5 months. My first name rhymes with my fiance's last name..and it sounds rather silly. What do you think of not having to change your last name to your husband's? Do many women do this? Do you think its weird not having your last name the same as your kids? Or how about kids having their last name as their mum or not the dad? & lastly what do you think of the name, Ann for a gurl? Do you think its oldfashioned & boring? Thanks for answering.

My 12 yr. old son has been talkig back to us and it has gotten out of hand. My husband's approach is to come down on him like a ton of bricks. The problem is that even though we have been together for 9 years I feel that he hasn't established the type of bond with my son so he can do that ( he is the stepdad ). I don't want my son to hate us (him) and I'm afraid that he will want to go live somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I broke up months ago. Over email he said I wasn't funny or fun. The relationship was never serious. Our differences showed. I didn't love him but I quickly felt bad about what he said, was insulted even though he didn't mean it. I work alot, am stressed out, don't have much social life. I've been depressed about my not-fun life for months, but he didn't know. Sometimes I've felt on the edge. I couldn't let go of what was said, and tried to talk to him. I was preoccupied, thought it'd go away if we talked. Thought he saw me as a friend and would talk. He didn't respond to my emails or calls, said I was freaking him out. I felt even worse and tried harder. He got a lot of mixed emails - venting, stalking jokes... In my "stuck" mind, thought he'd get sick of 'em, just call to yell at me, we'd talk and I'd snap out of it. Am no longer contacting him, and don't want anything. But in my depression, I traumatized the guy, and don't want him to feel stalked.

All of us have dreams, it is part of being alive.
I'll tell you mine. I was to come to a foreign country and learn the language. I did it.
I still have dreams but I think that this was the number one.

My sisters getting married tommorow and I don't want to go. The reason is that she didn't invite me to her engagement and I barley knew recently because of pictures I found. She invited me but nobody told me about her engagement and I live with her. My dad wants me to go because he dosn't want to me embarresed I didn't go. I feel like I was excluded and everyones excuse for not tellin me is that they were affraid I might tell everyone because they didn't want certain people to know. I mean they(my family) were being sneaky about the whole thing and I feel like I shouldn't go. What should I do?

I don't have a lot of money to spend on favors, but I want to leave a little something at each table at my wedding reception. Anyone have any ideas on something that's not too expensive, but nice? Also, there's goin to be kids there, so nothing breakable.

Ideas that are not going to happen are: cameras, little pictures in frames.

I can not seem to understand women sometimes. When I was stationed at Maxwell AFB, Alabama, there was a federal prison on base. There were Air Force women that lost their careers being involved with prisoners. You always hear that women want a man with a job, a man that will treat them right, but they end up with a prisoner. BTW,it is not all women, I am sorry for generalizing earlier.
