I love my big sister in the whole world, and I have looked up to her and copied whatever she has done ever since I can remember. But recently, she decided to join the army. My best friend and I have been best friends for along time. But lately she has been bragging.. ALOT about her guy life. Everyday she will tell me how 12 guys like her.. or 16... or whatever. Yes, I know she is pretty.. But come on! Some guys like me but I dont go around bragging. Im just too afraid to tell her. I think I maybe jealous.. but im not sure at this point..What do i do?!?

I have this friend who I think I'm in love. We've been talking on the phone for 6 months now and only just recently met 2 weeks ago. We both get along great. She's single (hasn't dated a guy in over a year and a half). I genuinly have feelings for her. We recently met for the first time two weeks ago. I was so nervous. We just kind of just looked at each other in awkward silence for awhile. Then i finally spoke up and said it was really awkward seeing her in person. She agreed and we laughed. There's more to it than that. Later on we both admitted it was hard to look at each other because we talked so long on the phone that it just felt weird. But when we talk at night she reads to me. I like that a lot. She's also an english teacher. So my question is do you think she likes me more than a friend? I don't know if I gave enough info so ask me questions.

i like this girl and i'm not sure if she likes me or not, i know she likes me as somewhat of a friend. Anyways she does things that make me wonder. First she had a chance to move and sit by her good freind but she chose to stay where she sat and i was the only person who sat next to her. second she tells me who she thinks is hot and cute and so on and so forth. third everytime i make a joke she giggles and says things like "oh jonathan" in a goofy tone. also she ask why i don't ride the bus since she does. Now some of this sounds convincing but sometimes it sounds like she is bored riding the bus w/o any friends or she thinks i'm just a goofball when i say things. i wasn't sure if she thought i'd be sad or mad if she sat by her friend. What do you think she likes me or she thinks of me as a friend or she feels sorry for me? What should I do?

She has moved back to her hometown, Des Moines, to start anew life. She left because of what happened in the past but admits things are great now. There was no infidelity involved, but I was untreated with bipolar and did some stupid things. To make matters worse I have an aggressive case of prostate cancer.

confused

sometimes i wish i could cut the strings that hold me up, just so i could fall, fall and smack face first into the earth. as i sit in my car, living room, at class, in front of my computer, and everywhere else, i hate the fact that i am numb to the pain, i hate the fact that i can exists on this shithole planet and can live my pointless life without feeling anything that would possibibly make me happy. its not that im giving up on life, (that will never happen), its more like life has finally gave up on me. and in some strange ****** up way im glad it has finally happened. i mean i cant stand this **** people drink to have fun, i drink to get the **** away from people.

I'm not happy that he drank. And it's so negative. Although I know the feeling, I hope we can work it out. But how? Plus guys tend to so I guess I could forgive him even if it's illegal for another month, but if we date, he's not drinking, I hope. Any thoughts? Answer my other q's too please.

Call you or someone you know a retard? My cousin has rett syndrome. She cannot eat on her own, talk, walk, or anything else for that matter. She has recently started siezing daily. I went school shopping for my kids and was talking to my mother in law on the cost of the items I bought for back to school shoes,clothes etc.She asked me if I save the bills on how much everything costs and I said of course I always do.She asked me can I have them and I said yes.When I got home I thought about it and now I'm wondering what for?I didn't ask her why and I did say yes already.I don't want to give it to her.She keeps reminding me to bring it to her and even today said don't forget it next time you come over.How do I get out of it?Why do you think she wanted it for?

Have you ever heard of someone being controlled by love?

What would it mean to be controlled by love?

I think I mean believing in someone so much that you are in a way "controlled" by their love.

Does that make any sense? I'm not talking about someone necessarily ordering someone around. It is like the small child believes in the parent. Or perhaps like the pet believes in his master. Not that someone is being dehumanized. These are just analogies.

I was surprised when so many people got upset when I used the word "controlled". it just depends on what you mean by control.
