and on a smaller note: is it wrong to be just thinking about her on the day of my grandfathers funeral?

PLEASE READ: My girlfriend, im not even sure if I should call her that anymore, she tells me that she didn't even know what love was until she was with her EX...she broke up with me, then went out with him...then back with me...and she told me that...and before she told me that she talked about her exs for like 10 mins straight!!! A fellow of mine has 2 daughters, one 13 the other 15 yo. She makes her daughters wear those frilly pinafores with straps that criss cross in the back and form a bow. Some days ago I went to her place and the girls were wearing them. They got kinda embarrassed. They told me this is their mom rule, they gotta wear them even when someone comes to the house. It's a kind of tradition there, though only the girls have to wear them all the time. Their mom wears sometimes.
The girls hate those pinafores and get really embarrased when someone outside their household sees them in those pinafores. They asked me to try to talk their mom out of that rule, tough they think this is impossible. Actually, I asked her to let the girls take them off cause they were embarrassed and got a sound NO WAY!. I told the girls it's not big deal, but they hate them. It's true they look kinda cute, sweet and feminine in those pinafores. Is it OK theit mom makes them wear? Does she have such right?

I am a mom of 7. I gave birth to only 4, but along the way have taken others. Currently, I have 4 children left at home.Two of which are my biological sons aged 13 and 14. My nephew17, who I took in 3 years ago after his mother gave him up.And Missy 18, who came in about 3 months ago. It is a little confusing how I met and came upon this wonderful girl.She had been dating one of my older sons off and on for the past year but broke up a month ago.My son brought her into this family, but she was allowed to move in and stay because she had never had a family to be proud of.We all want to be that family.My son left her here while he had to follow through on a committment in another state then start school in yet another state.Anyway, my 17 year old nephew and Missy have decided they want to date. I dont think it is right.I wonder how it will affect the rest of the family, and no way I look at it does it make it right.Do I discourage this?I have no idea what to do about this.HELP!!!

I've been married to my wife for about 16 years now and she's really a great mother to my two boys (6 & 9). She's not only a great mother but a good wife. No real major issues - just not as in love with her as much anymore. I was recently contacted by my former HS sweetheart, Jenny. Our relationship ended 25 years ago because I had already committed to the military before we met - If not for the commitment I would have probably stayed with Jenny and who knows what would have become of us. Anyway, we met to just to catch up on old times and it felt like the spark was re-lit once again for the both of us. Jenny is also married with two kids, both HS. It's been a few weeks since Jenny and I had our reunion and I just can't get her off my mind. I've always wondered what whould have happened if we stayed together. What should I do, I really think Jenny is the one - but I don't want to hurt my wife and especially my two boys - yet, I want to be happy myself. Any advice from anyone?

Me and my bf have been going out for a while, but now the church that i go to is saying i shouldnt have a bf while im in highschool. I love him to death and we've had our ups and downs especially considering we go to different school's and he's not a Christian. Well, today I found out my girlfriend wants to be "just friends" with me today, which is good, considering that she still likes me after all the weird things I have done.

Anyways, I think what I did wrong is I showed my weakness that I am not very self-confident anymore. I get worried and anxious when it comes to social situations and i freeze. Not always, though, but lately I have been nervous around her because I don't want to hurt her feelings by making her feel awkward because I'm around and asking awkward questions again.

So, today I asked her to the dance. Nobody asked her and I know nobody would because she is quiet and most people don't know her very well.SO, she said "maybe" and then she said "i might not even go to the dance"

That seems like a "no" to me, which is fine, because I think it would be weird with her being a "friend", i wouldn't hold her in my arms.OK, well, looks like I screwed up because I lost belief/confidence in myself. How do i get it back?
