Suppose you were hanging out with your new boyfriend and his mother and pre-teen sisters. Suppose the mom takes all to see the father on a jobsite where he is working. The father is a self employed contractor that does most of his work himself and also gets the family to help out from time to time. Now suppose the father asks your new boyfriend to do some work. Here's the question: Which would you prefer to see and have happen: Your boyfriend to work (with resentment showing), or your boyfriend to work (with eager willingness) or your boyfriend to take a stand and say he's spending time with you and not working today?

My girlfriend, who I trust 100 % (and have been with for about 3 years), works in the same place as two of my closest male friends. As a result, they often get invited to go out to other work member's partys/birthdays/get-togethers. Some of them I am invited to and some I'm not.

There was one yesterday that I was not invited too. I didn't really mind, but I hate being excluded and hate the fact that my guy friends are with my girlfriend and I'm not - I get especially jealous when I imagine her with them having a great time. The next morning she will always tell me, "It was great! We had such a wicked time!" That makes me feel awful.

Anyhow, there's another one tomorrow night, which I was invited too. However, I wasn't sure whether I could go (prior arrangements) so I said "maybe." My girlfriend later said that I now couldn't go and her cousin hadn't booked me a place.

Now they're all off together without me and I get so upset and jealous and I hate it.

What can I do?

My wife read an article in Essence about men's trips to Brazil. The article talked about how great women treat men in Brazil. They cater to them, cook, make them feel special, give them great, erotic sex - 2 girls, 3 girls, whatever and they are 10's / beautiful. My wife said, hey you and some of your friends should go. She said that could be an annual trip as long as she does not find out. What does this mean? If a wife truly loved her husband, would she suggest this?

I think online dating is a very unwise and unsavoury experience. My sister and her friends use it regularlr to find men and have always ended up with some idiot who is completely wrong for them and they end up getting used all the time. Internet dating sites are full of sick pervs and i would advise anyone thinking of using to use your better judgement and find a girlfiend or boyfirend the right way but chance rather than by searching a profile.

My brother - if you answered my question before this one, you'll know - well, we found out some stuff, I guess someone at school wasn't so nice and he felt alot of peer pressure, blah-bla-blah, but I'm sure he's going to run away again, and further away - I'm trying to be nice to him and haven't done normal stuff (like yelled at him when he keeps his radio slightly louder then I like, E.G.), and we're all trying to be nice to him,

But I heard him say to my mom "I'll never run away again. I promise." What does THIS mean? Does it mean he's honest... What do you think?

My sister suffers from depression. A while ago my mum and her had a huge fight. They dont get on at all and my mum has no idea what goes on with my sister, she doesnt know she is bulemic either. She went upstairs and slit her wrists then called me up. I was dreading going into the room because i know what shes like. I calmed her down, tlaked to her then cleaned her wrists. I cried the whole night. She is now on Prozac but im afraid something will happen again. I dont know if im strong enough. I dont know if i can do it anymore. I am 18.

I have no idea what to do. And I actually feel bad asking this question. But my BF and I had a huge fight, I left went to the shore and came back. He was balling and said he didn't want to loose me and pulled out a bridal set. I didn't take it because we are still arguing. I know we'll get through it but there is one problem I hate yellow gold. Everything else is perfect the size and style. I know its remedial but is this something I should live with or should I tell him. I am a Black woman who dates Black men, not because I have something against White men but because Black men are the men that I come in contact with on a personal level plus I feel a bond with Black men that I don't feel with White men. Not racist but just being truthful. On the real, if I find out that a guy that is interested in me has dated numerous women of other races, I am a bit weary. I question the sincerity of his interest in me. I wonder why he dated outside his race initially. I wonder if he will be checking out every woman we meet seeking my replacement. Insecure or paranoid...maybe. I would still date him but for a brief moment I would pause and give serious consideration to not dating him. What about you? What does this mean? Is this normal?
