So.. I'm getting married, and my friend's heard that the maid of honour has to be married.. I feel this is untrue.. and suggested maybe they have to be single? Anyone know? Are there any rules?

They keep the ex and her little girl around (the little girl isn't his, she was pregnant when they got together). The little girl even called my husband daddy before we got married. Once we married he told the family that was no longer allowed, it's not his daughter. Well his parents still let this little girl call them grandma and grandpa. They also let her little brother do the same. I'm very uncomfortable with the whole thing. I don't want to be around his ex or her kids. His family just things I'm being mean to them and I need to get over it. His family doesn't even act like I exsist. It is causing us some very serious marriage problems. He insist the kids need to know his parents and we need to go to their house. When we go there are pictures of his ex and her kids everywhere, no pictures of me and one of our children. How can I help his family see they are hurting me?

My friend recently got in touch with her ex, (after not seeing him in five years), and want to hook up with him again. Yet, he lives in another state than she does. They have been communicating but now she is scared. She told me he was looking for a roommate and found one from the UK. The roommate so happens to be a girl and he is the only one that lives there. I told her not to worry but I think he is cheating on her or he is dating this UK girl. What do you people think, sounds like dating and he is two-timing? I do not want to lie to her but I don't want to hurt her either. I want to give her the best advice I can, please help with any suggestions of what is going on and what should I say to her?

Okay this is a stupid question: Now what?? We dont know how to communicate or what to do. On the weekends i go out with my friends and he does with his. We have different work scheduals during the week, so all we do is watch movies & cuddle when we get home (and other things...).I guess its time for us to grow up. We share no common interests. i went out for the 4th time with a guy, however the 4th time we went out things got a little more intimate, where we hugged and cuddled. The previous times we went out, the guy was always chatting with me trough AIM or the phone. However, after our last date, which was more intimate, this guy has not contacted me yet.
