My son is turning 13 this October. I would like to have an original party for him...something different, that his friends will enjoy too. His friends are mostly his basketball team from school, and a few girls as well. I'm looking for suggestions. Parents...help me on this one !!

If you have a local college you could try to get the basket ball court for the day and if you are a small community like where I live you could get the collage team to come play with them for an hour or so and have a party there using that as the theme. Another thing you could do is have it out doors if the weather permits and rent one of those sumo wrestlers rings and suites. That is supper fun. You could do a fire truck theme and contact your local fire department and have them come over with the fire truck. If there is a hydrant near by they might even hook up the hose. Oh I had a friend contact a video game company you know the ones like in pizza restaurants and she rented a bunch of those for the kids to play on (don't know what you are looking to spend). You could also hire a dj and set up activities for the kids to do like making tie dyed shirts, dream catchers, and digerri doos (not sure how to spell but they are these long pipes that you blow into and they make music. I think they are native of australia) You make those with pvc pipe and bend the pipe with a propane torch then they paint them.

Well, you could make it a sports themed party, or something that he is really into, like a movie, a video game, or maybe just order pizza or have the party at some banquet hall and then go to the movies or a football or soccer game-something like that-or just order in pizza at home and then maybe go rent some movies--or just get him something that he has really been wanting, like one expensive thing and then a few less expensive things-and then let him have his friends over for an all-nighter or the weekend-it all depends on the situation and also on how much money you are looking to spend........good luck!

okay do you know what a lockin is.it actully for all ages and girls and boys. but i think its a better thing for guys well you make every one stay awake and do any thing playin video games and watchin movies all type or what movies doese he like scary comedy what does he like. and get cake shaped like a basketball.make diff.drinks go to like party america they have nice things for partys well good luck.
