Do you mean is it possible to be in love with two people at the same time? I don't believe so. For me anyways, when my heart is taken, I couldn't give it to another person even if I tried.

Yes, it's possible to have two loves in your heart.......but you will love each in a different way. When it happens, it causes a lot of confusion and many times heartache. You have to decide if it's worth it or if it's better to let one love go.

One of my professors said that people fall in love with at least six other people in their lives. So I think that the real answer is... there can be a lot of people out there with the potential to be a love. However, once one is chosen, the attention you give to that one works to the exclusion of any others that fall along.
(Ex: You are happily dating/engaged/married to person X. Then you meet person Y, who you click with. However, while you can say "Yeah, that's a great person, and I really like spending time with them" your dedication to person X makes loving person Y a non-question.)

i think its possible, only if you were in love with one person and for some reason you either loose contact or break up and then get involved with someone else who you fell in love with and then out of the blue that first love comes back into your life and confuses everything

yes, but those are only the seeds of love. True love is a commitment a decision and action of loyalty to one.
But if your talking about cookies and icecream....thats a different story!
