Eight years ago I left an abusive man with my two children and the shirt on my back. It was a messy divorce. We had joint custody, residential with me until last year when I had a hospital stay for panic attacks. He was then granted temporary custody and I was to be supervised with my children. I have recovered in the last year. The children want to come back to me but the legal guardian (childrens attorney) has taken his side even though the children have expressed a deep desire to be returned home. They have adjusted to a new school and my lawyer says to settle instead of go to trial. She fears I may lose joint custody. He is a very hateful person who truly cannot care for them alone and is basically using the children. Of Course I want to keep fighting for them. My whole life before and now is all about them and I can't stand to not see them for a day or two what should I do?

me and my bf are back together we have been going out off and on for 3 years. but he has broken my heart 13 times and every time he says that he loves me and it wont happen again and that he has changed but should i believe him this time. i mean this time is alot different but im still worried that i will get hurt again and i dont think i can go through that again. i know i shouldnt have kept going back to him but i love him i just dont know wat to do!!!!!

I am an adult and have two small children. My mom has had a drinking problem for a long time, but won't admit it or do anything about it. I do not want her to drink around my kids, which I think is very reasonable. Today she called to invite me to dinner and when i got there with my kids, she was very drunk. I told the kids we were leaving and she got very upset. My oldest daughter didn't understand why we had to leave since we had just gotten there and started throwing a fit and crying and yelling for her grandma. It was very ugly and she squirmed out of my hands and ran to my mom and my mom didn't want to let her go so I could take her home. My mom told me I should just stay so my daughter would stop crying and "why was I doing this". It was very traumatic for my daughter and me and I have no clue where to go from here. What would you do if you were in this situation? :(

but she is so defensive, sensitive and self conscious about her appearance. ever since she was about 19 months old, she has had an angry temperament. i have experienced verbal abuse of a child and this is just overwhelming for me. she doesnt like to be seen with me either, i am feeling like i have failed as a mother. Ever since the beginning of my childhood, I've always felt sort of isolated and different from my peers (possibly because I moved to America at the age of 7)

Whether I am at school or at a relative's house, I am always nervous about what people think of me...

I am always searching for hints of their emotions too...when they seem to like me, I feel happier...when they seem to ignore me I sulk and worry

Thanks to those who bother to listen to me, but I'd like for advise other than pyshotherapy ^_^;

P.S. I am a rediculously shy person @_@ how I wish I was more brave! :(

ok so i live in a very very small house. my mom wants to move really bad and so does my my brother and me but my dad doesnt want to because he thinks that somethng might happen to him and then my mom would be stuck with all those bills of the new house. she doesnt work so she would have to get a job. but none of us are happy in this tiny house. the kitchen floor is coming apart, the bathroom is horrible and we dont even have tile floor! its like concrete or something. we really wanna move and we can afford it, my mom told me. and plus i saw the checkbook. (we can so afford it!) so does anyone have any advice on how i can convince my dad to move. nothing will happen to him, he's only 40 something. we all really want to move please help! my mom is miserable in this crappy house! any advice? please!!?

like i love you or i miss you? my friend has been having guy trouble and it seems most of these guys are saying how much they like her and then a week later they break up....or my ex's coming back proffessing there love, asking if i will be content spending the rest of my life with them, and then not calling for a week or two...what is the reason behind this?

or what about the guys who break up with the girl who then cry to have them back only to do it all over again...is there an alterior motive? if so can you please tell me?

i dont think it is necessarilly done to get in to someones pants because they do this even when there is a healthy sexual relationship...are they insecure? or just insensere?
