I am doing fine hope you are too. We can talk on the phone but I will not meet with you.

You can talk on the phone because he can not abuse you just talking and if he gets mad you can always hang up. Keep yourself safe.

That is up to you. Do you want to be around or even communicate with a person who abused you. And I would wonder after a year and a half what does he want to communicate about? Have you moved on with your life?
If you do not have children with this person I would steer clear. To many people get back into abusive relationships, because they believe the person has changed. 99 percent of the time they have not. If you do decide to have communication with him, be very careful.

I am in that situation now and I have found that the best way to communicate is either through a third party like a friend who you can trust and if that does not work try going through a solicitor and let all the communication rest on someone's shoulders that are trained for the abuse and see how long he tries to communicate without the abuse .

I am sure you do not want the contact because of being scared and not sure where he will feel it's going. Probably the best thing to say is that you have a new life now, and are definately not interested, but are very glad to hear he is doing well.

You don't want to anger an abusive person more than you have to, at the same time, don't let him back into your life. Without help, the abuse will come back again.

Good luck.

Simply say "Get the fuch out of my life". Then turn and walk away. Why would you even entertain such a thought? You need to get a life.

Check ou the following website. It can answer your questions much better than I can. It will also give you a birds eye view to a guy's psyche.

Have him or her go through a friend rather than trying to communicate after divorce. might be less stressful.

Get lost!!! If you have kids, be civil until the kids turn 18 then you don't have to talk to that person again.

if you have children with this person, you need to talk to them on the phone, at least.

If you don't have kids with this person, tell them to leave you alone. If he/she persists, get a restraining order.

If you know what's good for you, you leave well enough alone. Unless, of course, you miss that kind excitement in your life.
