yeah i was beaten and i didn't have two parents only one my mom , she was a terrible mother but its in the past i move on and i made promise to god that i would never do that to mine and i haven't ..........if things get to bad and you just cant handle it go to a friends house for a few hours and tell your school counselor she /or he can help you....you got to trust some one to get help for you cause if you don't you be just another number that ended up on the news that every one feel sorry for cause you mom or dad took your life .......don't be just a norther number do something about it be fore its to late call this number:1-888-767-2445 (1-888-SOS-child) or childhelp USA (1-800-422-4445) do something soon>

No, but I get did the occasional spanking when I was little (I am now over 45), which were totally justified. I also had my mouth washed out with soap. The last time I was hit I was 16 and got backhanded across the mouth for smarting off to my mother.

I was beat so badly that I was taken out of my home. When the police rescued me, they took pictures of my head to toe bruises and bloodied face. They were amazed I survived a beating from my mother and her boyfriend. (they were both drunk) I went to a foster home and I loved my life again and I wasn't afraid everyday of my life. I became almost normal except for my memories.
Today I am very careful no never punish my children physically if possible, and never when I am angry.

Gosh, no! The worst that can be said is that I managed to get slapped when I behaved really badly, but that can't be considered as beating... it was more of a warning not to do that again. Parents who actually beat their children should be imprisoned, that's child abuse.

I grew up in the 60's. My father was very strict. He used to beat me with a yard Stick. Broke it over my bottom a few times. He did other things too, but we'll leave those stories for another day :-(

I'M like the ONLY girl at my school who never got beat, Even grounded. My mom thinks its SO bad and hates it.

Yes. But I've come to realize that my parents did the best job they could given how they were raised. I no longer hold it against them. Life is too short.

yes both my mom and dad gave me beatings and i deserved almost all of them...and i loved them very much. they didn't leave any physical or emotional scars...i get along well with people. i served in the military, never killed anyone...went on to become a pilot for delta airlines, retired two years ago, live in arizona where i enjoy my grandchildren, family, friends and nieghbors.

i got whiped all the time with a stick with a shovel with a belt with a shoe with a hand with a cord and with a dog chain
and i am happy that i got them it was for my own good

I sure did, but it wasn't that bad and not very often either. All my mom had to do was give me the look and that's all it took most of the time.
