I met this guy not too long ago through friends and we've only hung out a couple of times since then. He knows I have a boyfriend of 2 years that I care about very much.

Last night, he tried to kiss me and I pulled away. After that happened he was acting like an asshole to me. Was he just embarrased? Or does he really just want one thing?

The fact that I've only known him a week makes me think he's a jerk I don't want to be around.

This isn't the first time this has happened. I'm starting to loose faith in men all together. The only man that let me move at my own pace is my boyfriend now. Is he one in a million?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 1/2 months and really care about each other a lot. We have been living together for the past 3 months. We are both in our mid 20's. Since day one my mother-in-law has been very negative towards me. My husband doesn't say anything to her and when I bring up how she hurts my feelings he ignores the conversation. She doesn't approve of how my husband and I live. Every time she comes over she thinks the house is trashy looking. What she fails to realize is that we have a five and three year old running around the house playing. She doesn't care who's around, she has said some pretty mean and hurtful things in front of my kids, like about my ethnic background. She blames me for not allowing my husband to sleep. She's stuck in the 1950's where the mom was suppose to be a robot. Take care of the house, kids and husband. Can somebody please give me some advice on how to handle her without loosing my cool?

I have a girlfriend who's first boyfriend was abusive and controlling. So by no stretch of the mind shes pretty cynical towards relationships and "doesn't like" dating (she does she's just still bitter). So she insinuates to me that she wants to break up/take a break, so I go ahead and tell her we should. She thanks me for being understandable and starts acting like she did before we dated (giving me the "look", flirting, showing alot of interest, etc.). I figured I should give her time to think things out, be her friend. Recently she started acting even more distant. We were supposed to goto a movie a couple of days ago, & when I called her (only twice) she never answered or called back & I havn't talked to her since. So it's like total abandonment. Look I know it's probably over so you don't need to tell me that, it already bugs me. Im just looking for some explanation for all this (no I wasn't needy or anything like that. She was happy) and some way to get her back.

His sister and I have different personalities: she's outgoing, social, loves to go to clubs, bars, partying, fashionable, loves shopping, flirting, and requires lots of attention; I'm more reserved, like to spend time to myself or just with my b-friend, like watching movies, reading, writing, creating art, listening to music, shop mostly online, don't like flirting or stealing the spotlight, not very fashionable, just like to hang with a few friends and occasionally go out for drinks. She always gets mad at me for not calling her right back or wanting to get together with her when SHE wants to. My b-friend always takes her side when she's upset and accuses me of being paranoid and trying to make him choose between family and me. I just want him to sometimes take my side when she's in the wrong. I've tried to "mend" things with her often, and she'll blow me off. She seems to be into drama - there's a big drama-event (whether it's me or not) every month. I'd like to be her friend.....
