My friends say that I should act more Latina!(They are Latina by the way) They say that because they say I have "good hair"(i think thats BS), SPeak mostly english(though I am proud to say I also speak spanish and well), am light skin(since when is skin suppose to tell you how Latin you are?!), and because I was brought up embracing AMerican and spanish culture. I am 20 now and consider these people good friends of mine but I am like okay, shouldn't you be glad that I am different and that I embrace many cultures. I would like to say that I am not hurt by what they say because I consider myself a strong individual but its getting to the point that I am feeling real bad about myself and just want them to understand me. How can I make them understand that I consider myself Latina but I was just brought up with customs that are not only Latin?

I just moved to Greenwood, IN. I dont know anyone, and I'm shy when it comes to meeting new ppl. I dont have a job yet, and I dont start school til August (and its a computer campus, hard to meet ppl)

I've thought about going to bars and sitting around, but does that work? I've looked for little coffee shops to go to and just sit around and read, but havent found any.

Any other ideas?

I have a boyfriend of 8 years, I have a daughter who is 11 and his two children who are girl 12 and boy 14. They live with us every other week. The 14 year old boy has been getting into some trouble lately, just trying and doing evrything that he can. One of them being breaking and entering to steal xboxes from a house. It's been said that he is just going along for the ride but none the less he is just as guilty. The judge just gave him some time in juvey. But now I've been hearing things from my 11 year old daughter who has AIM and she gets all kinds of other dirt about him, but is told not to tell, but she tells me. It bothers me so. Should I break her confidentallity and tell my boyfriend or should I keep to myself. It will all come out in the wash sooner or later. I also do not want him to think I'm just picking on his son. Because I have never had a lot of faith in him anyway. I've tied to work with him since he's been young and no one ever seemed to be able to help him (ADHD).

My husband doesn't really like to kiss. He does every so often and when we do it, it's more or less on the lips and quick. He says, my lips are like a swamp.

He was this way since I known him. But also do you have a suggestion on how to get him to kiss more? Thanks!

My husband and I will be celebrating ONE year togher next month. I already know he has something planned because he told me not to worry about things he is taking care of it, so I gather it's something we will go "do". Which is cool, I love the element of suprise.
But what about me doing or getting something for him? We have gone and are still going through so much emotionally (more so me than him) that it's the farthest thing from my mind of even wanting to get something (hoping by then I won't feel that way).
Our financial situation is horrible, he is off work on medical reasons, and anyway, the money just isn't there.
I do want to do/get him something nice.
Can you help?

Everything was going perfect until one night I get a IM from him saying we need to talk and not on the internet on the phone and I was like okay. I kinda knew what was coming. Well if you havent already guessed it yes he broke up with me and this was right before our 11th month anniversary too, the funny thing is he didnt really have a reason as to why he was doing it and it was also very random and came out of know were because two nights before he came over and we got along really good and he didnt act like anything was wrong he even said to me a couple of times that night I love you so much so I thought everything was going perfect I never in a million years would have guessed that he was going to break up with me. I still really really like him. Every time I think about it, it makes me more and more upset please I just need some advice and encouragement on how to get over him.

My x left 7 weeks ago, he e-mails me ... sometimes sounds like he wants to come back.. but hasn't. My car broke down and I had to get my daughters boyfriend to take me to work. He was told I was with someone else early in the a.m. so he e-mailed me back thinking I have moved on and that I have let someone spend the night at my house. Basicly wigging out that I was with someone else.. saying He will always love me and he hopes I am happy with whoever,... but then he adds... Guy #1: Shy guy, doesn't talk much. Has little romantic interest in me. I wouldn't mind dating him.
Guy #2: Very outgoing, very buff. Loves to work out and is very funny. Little interest in dating at all. Every time I think of a romantic scene, I think of him in it.
Guy #3: Completely infatuated with me. Not my type.

I don't want to sound desperate. I know I'm attractive (which is different from being full of myself) Should I leap into a relationship i don't think my heart would be in, or keep trying with guys that have no interest?

There are so many dead beat moms and dad in this country. The are hundreads of thousands of children who go unsupported because the absentee parent has better things to do with their time and money. For some, the threat of having their driver's license suspended, or their pay check or tax returned garnished, or jail time doesn't seem to do the trick. Maybe an apoointment with the needle would be more motivating. If you bring a child into this world have the decency to provide a quality life for them.
