I am going to be in a wedding in a few weeks. Of course, first comes the bachelorette party. The maid of honor is hosting, and she is planning this lavish evening. I have already spent more than every penny I have on the dress, shoes, gifts, and plane tickets, not even to mention the time I'm taking off work. I really want to be a good friend and take part just like everyone else, but I have nothing left to give!! We are all pretty fresh out of college, and everyone's parents still help them except for mine.

How do I work this? Do I mention something to my friend or to the maid of honor? Or just kind of tactfully try to avoid certain costs of the party?

Just to clarify - it includes a limo, an expensive dinner, and "club-hopping" at various places, complete with various cover charges. Aaaaahhh!

Not a whole lot of people ask me out, and I really luv this 1 guy, and he told me 2 wait 4 him becuz he's gonna ask me out in the begining of the school year which is only a few weeks away. OF COURSE i said hell yeah (since he's worth the wait), but the problem is that my best friend really likes him 2, maybe even luvs him (OF COURSE not as much as me!!!), but he doesn't want 2 go out with her, he wants 2 go out with me, but I'm still just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO afraid she's gonna end up goin out with him before he ends up askin me out. Any advice? O yea, and also by the way, like i said not a whole lot of people ask me out. PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ help me!!!

all my friends think im pretty, my family, and i think im pretty 2! its just that none of the dumbass guys @ my school can see that. Are they blind? or am i? This girl met me! Usually its the other way around. Anyway, she said she was looking for the mystery of life and that someone referred her to me. She's very attractive, with rich auburn hair,and a body that would make a freight train jump the tracks. After a week, I could see where she was heading with my friendship, so right away I thought of saying, I get my kicks from the waist up, sunshine! But I didn't! Since then, she sneaks out of her house after 11 pm comes to my bedroom window for the purpose of spending the night, then sneaks home around 5:30 am. This has been going on now for about 6 weeks, coming over twice a week. Can't decide what to do. What do you suggest? Is it just puppy love even thought we both aren't dogs?

What should I do? My husband really hates my father and his wife. He thinks that they haven't helped us any time we needed (like to buy our 1st house, take care of our child, or anythiing else). He thinks they are selfish and only visit for their fun and pleasure and that visits from them are spent catering to them. I don't disagree, but would rather ignore their behaviour and have a good family get-together once a year instead of having to get into a fight with them everytime we meet. He thinks I shouldn't hide my feelings and tell them the truth. I think that is only being mean and wouldn't do anything to make thinks better and would only make it worse.

We fight about this about 2 times a year: every time we visit with them. I have issues with his family but I would rather he be happy and I would never want to be the cause of a problem between him and his family so I never complain to him. He knows that but doesn't think it matters.

Do you think he is right?

I once asked my mom if there was a fire if she would let me pull the alarm in a fire and she said she would. How is it she would let me pull it even if she was near me? Would you let your son pull it in a fire if he asked and you were in a safe place and the alarm was outside? What would you do to help your son to make sure he pulled it correctly? Would you watch him and guide him? If so what would you say to help? Would you put your hand over his hand to pull the handle ? Or read the directions together? Would it be ok for your son to read the alarm directions out loud? How would you calm him after?

A friend wanted to know as well different opinions.
