It's important to work on your own development as an individual - otherwise you might feel cheated in a relationship. Keep learning individually and together, have new adventures and experiences. Volunteer to help other people, the world at large...whatever you feel is important. Giving back is very rewarding. A marriage cannot fulfill everything for another person - it's a collective energy and you both bring your own ideas, talents and interests.

I think it's an individual thing. Knowing who you truly are is most important. Once you know that, you'll know what makes you happy. For some people it's having alone time to meditate or work on personal projects. For others it might be volunteering their time to help others. You may find joy in people, animals, reading,painting or becoming more spiritual. Learning about yourself and life around you and what matters most, may make you happy. It's what makes me happiest.
