My husband and I will be celebrating ONE year togher next month. I already know he has something planned because he told me not to worry about things he is taking care of it, so I gather it's something we will go "do". Which is cool, I love the element of suprise.
But what about me doing or getting something for him? We have gone and are still going through so much emotionally (more so me than him) that it's the farthest thing from my mind of even wanting to get something (hoping by then I won't feel that way).
Our financial situation is horrible, he is off work on medical reasons, and anyway, the money just isn't there.
I do want to do/get him something nice.
Can you help?

For your First Anniversary you are supposed to eat the top of your wedding cake together. You can always take that to a different level. But no matter what you should give him your love thats all partners really want.

A traditional gift for a first anniversary would be made of paper. I would suggest some sort of origami.

Perhaps you could buy one (they can be very inexpensive) or find someone locally to make you something cool (perhaps even for free because people just love to fold paper).

Good luck!
