My son is 8 years old with Autism and I have recently been given the opportunity to hire direct care staff to come in and work with him in all aspects of his life. The person will be taking care of all personal needs (toileting, bathing, dressing) transporting to therapy sessions, cooking and cleaning up after him. I will be home a lot of the time, but there will be alot of time when I will not be around (ie when I am at work and activities with my other child) so I have to find someone that I will be able to trust with a child who is mostly non-verbal. I have never had to hire people to watch him before, except the young lady who is currently working with him while I am at work. To those of you who have gone thru this before, what should I look for to find high quality people, I want to have low turn over so I want to do the best that I can to hire the right people the first time around.

A year ago we were close - she moved a few miles away eight months ago and never gave me the new address or phone number. Last month I took care of her kids while she was hospitalized and she said thank you but still did not give me her number. She needed money last week and I was hesitant in answering and she told me to shove it since she thought I was going to say no. Then she asked me to babysit next week - I think it's my turn to say shove it! Other aquaintances are now calling ME a bi*** because I've told them about this. Any honest opinions out there? Or at least one person to tell me I'm not the B! here!?

I have just begun dating a surgical technician who is frequently on-call. Many of our past dates have been cancelled because he has been called into work. I am trying my best to be understanding of his career and his schedule; however, too many times have I gotten dressed up to go on a date that was cancelled at the last minute. I am getting frustrated and I really want this to work out. I am hoping for advice from anyone who has had similar experiences.

I am a parent who recieves child support and my sons father hates me for it. I always try to understand, even put myself in his shoes of what would I do if this happened to me? I would have no problem paying, as I already do. My ex only pays 79 dollars a week. He fails to regonize the late nights or early mornings I am up preparing for the next day, all the money I spend on our son child care, or helping him with his homework, drs appointments, dressing him etc...I work as a CNA and I get paid 15 dollars an hour to assist people in this manner, his 79 dollardoes nothing for me.When he has our son for the two weeks during the summer the roles get reversed and I always still call to check on him, send money, help out beyond 79 dollars. Why can't heor other men understand this. I am sick of men bitching about this.

I have this friend I really like. Alot of people say we would be good for each other. When he is around we talk, but to me it seems like we are just friends but my family and friends think otherwise. He was over yesterday hangin out with me at my party and we jumped on a moon-walk with some other friends and he would trip me and some of the other girls, we had fun. I like to trade cars every year or two and my wife hates it. Every time it is a battle. I make a crap load of money and she makes a decent salary as well. We live on less than a third of our income so I personally don't see the problem.

My parents are having a huge fight! My mom left this morning! Now I'm stuck here with my dad and little brother and i really don't want to be I want to be with my mom. I want my mom to be happy and when she is away from my dad she is so that's not the problem. My dad won't let me go and live with her because he thinks we give her a reason to come back. I don't want to live with my dad but I don't won't my mom to have to be unhappy all the time ethier! How do I convince my dad into letting my little brother and I leave? Today at church, they discussed what women should do to keep their man happy. It states in the Bible to Respect them. The discussion lead to encouraging them, (don't nag them to death), accept that woman and men are different & honor his differences, keep yourself looking beautiful, and be willing to understand that he needs sex and needs to feel wanted sexually.
So, if you had all these things from your wife/girlfriend would you be happy and satisfied? Are there any things missing???

Here I was last year. Gorgous, fun, blue eyed blonde. I was really going to be someone and do something with my life. I had my college planned out, my car, I was working a good job. Then one day I just lost my job, didnt get my car, and found out i cant afford my college. Now i have to live at home, take the bus to a lame dirty community college, and get seperated from all of my friends. Not to mention I have gained 10 pounds to my once great figure. My ex husband and I have been divorced for 6 yrs now and since the separation he has not taken any interest in our son and nor does he want to pay the child support he has been ordered in the divorced decree. Should I ask him to just plainly sign off on my son or make him pay the child support and/or go to jail for non payment and just take him for everything he is obligated to pay for our son? I say sign off and be done with him. He isnt seeing him on his visitations times or pays child support so why not. His now fiance' has 2 children that they get every other weekend and do things with them but not with our son. Just last week they went camping which my son loves to do and didnt even bother to call and see if he wanted to go. He is a worthless bastard in my book that made a baby and doesnt want anything to do with him. By the way son is 11 yrs old now divorced at age 5
