Today at church, they discussed what women should do to keep their man happy. It states in the Bible to Respect them. The discussion lead to encouraging them, (don't nag them to death), accept that woman and men are different & honor his differences, keep yourself looking beautiful, and be willing to understand that he needs sex and needs to feel wanted sexually.
So, if you had all these things from your wife/girlfriend would you be happy and satisfied? Are there any things missing???

Totally would be happy:-)
The only thing is probably would want to feel wanted in ways more than sexually. A guys better off not too even think about sex when meeting a girl first. The bringing up this idea would be or could be for some girls to fast. I think a guy would be happy just to find someone that would deal with some of there problems by just being there period.

Screw what the Preacher says the Bible says. Any relationship that works has to be based upon mutual respect and trust. Holding the woman subservient a la the Bible isn't going to work unless the mindset of the man mirrors the idea of the Bible - i.e. that women are second class citizens in the eyes of God and the world (and therfore, men).

Relationships work from mutual respect. Marital relationships are also sexual in nature. Sex is not necessarily a duty, but it is an expected part of the marriage relationship. Contrary to some religious teachings (Catholic in particular) sex is not just for making more little Christians. It is the most intimate form of pleasure that can be had between two loving people. Cut off sex in a marriage and it is soon headed for the dumper, because one party or the other will seek it outside the relationship, or terminate the relationship because of it.

As for a preacher mandating that a woman should look beautiful, well, honestly, don't you think that's an inappropriate message to come from the pulpit? It's not a bad guideline, but I don't recall any passage in the Bible that says such a thing. Methinks he be extrapolating just a wee bit too much there.

A marriage relationship is about sharing - mutually. If a relationship is one sided, i.e. that one person feels that they have to control the other person, then that is not a healthy relationship and should be re-examined. Trust, respect, mutual understanding and fun between the sheets make relationships work. Not particularly in that order, but mutual respect is the most important factor IMO.
