Statistics show that many Black women will never marry. Only 40% of Black adults get married and more than half result in divorce. And when it comes to interracial relationships more Black men date and marry outside of their race than Black women. A lot of Black women complain about not being able to find a man. Some feel the answer is to expand your horizons and not discount a man because he's not Black.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 1/2 years. We are very, very close and best friends. We spend about 95% of our free time together and whever we can because we love each other so much. We plan on getting married and we've talked several times about that and children, so I know how much he loves me. Well, he doesn't drive yet (no we're not children just can't afford a car right now because he supports himself and I still live with my mother but I *DO* have my own car) Well, the surgeon said not to drive for 48 hours for me and I've been home since yesterday recovering. My boyfriend told me his roommate was going to give him a ride to my house last night after he got off work to visit-he gets off work at 9pm. He also said he would call right when he got off...never stopped by to visit and NEVER called until 12am!! I was so upset, and told him that so he said he'd visit this morning before work at 1pm-didn't visit AGAIN and still hasn't called-should I break up w/him?

He is not religious at all, so that goes out the window. Everytime we go out he doesn't try to get with any girls when all my other friends do. Like I know he watches porn and stuff with chicks but its just like sex is not a priority to him. He's not a bad looking dude either, like he could get some if he tried, he just doesn't. Everyone busts on him for it behind his back and calls him a fag. What do you think is his problem or do you know anyone like this?

I was sneezing one day and a booger got on my cheek and my boyfriend at the time reached over and got it off and he ate it.. The next day my son had a booger on his nose and he got if off there and instead of getting a tissue he ate it too.. now that is nasty.. I also seen him eat a fly and other weird things. I dont date people with kids and if i do deal with you its on a not going to be my boyfriend basis just f- buddies or a good friend with benifits. I dont want to be a part of a ready made family or have to deal with building not only a relationship with him but his kid their mother her family not to mention his family thats just too much plus i always wanted my kid to be my first born and the fathers my parents have been toghther for 30yrs and i just want the same kind of thing for my kid i dont wanna have to explain why you and bookie have two differnt mothers and why you live in two diffrent houses and i dont wanna hear about what they did whn the older kid got chicken pops or sick i want him to be scard confused and having the experience with me for the first time i know its a bit selfish but its the truth and i want some non bias opinions because those that are closest to me constantly tell me your 28 you cant think like that any more and i really dont want to but i cant help it.

I have been in a serious relationship with the same man for almost 2 years now, and for the past few months, things have been a little shakky. We both work in high stress positions and have had alot to deal with recently. On Memorial day weekend, we got into a tiff that was just the icing on the cake for me, I was ready to crack, I was emotional and stressed, so finally just said enough, packed up and moved out in 2 days. He feels betrayed that I moved and said that I just left him high and dry. I gave him my portion of the mortgage, so that he was not financial struck, although funds are tight with him. He has now decided since I moved out he is looking for a job 300 miles away in the city where he grew up. We had a talk about this and I feel that he is abandoning me because we are still together. He said he felt the same way when I left... I live 3 miles away and see him daily, and I feel that I am almost ready to come back, but, I don't know what to do..I love him! Help!

when I was about 12 my mom started calling me fat and all this kind of crap I only weighed 100 lbs! then I started developing MAJOR body issue and became annorexic...after 2 yrs and treatment I am ok but I no longer have my mom in my life!! was I wrong because my mom makes me feel bad and so does her bf?!

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! I am in love with a very close family friend but do not know if she feels the same way. I have not told any one I like her and in fact have been saying the exact opposite. My good friend makes fun of her and i am affraid of the consequences if it dosnt work out. It will make our relationship aquward. These signs i have noticed from her, She lets me play with her hair, lays on my lap, uncrosses her legs pointing toward me(she ussually has then crossed and she only opens them when its me and her), last weekend on a boat with just me and her in it she was laying down to tan and undid her top(this may sound harmless but she is a very devout church of christ and i have never seen her do something like this, her parents were furious), grabs my arm durning "scary movies," and on occasion i catch her staring. Recently she asked me if i would take her to a movie and if a like liked her. Of course i was being an idot and said no i dont, she replied that it was good because we are like brother and sister. I dont know if she said that to blow it off or she really ment it. HELP!!!
