Statistics show that many Black women will never marry. Only 40% of Black adults get married and more than half result in divorce. And when it comes to interracial relationships more Black men date and marry outside of their race than Black women. A lot of Black women complain about not being able to find a man. Some feel the answer is to expand your horizons and not discount a man because he's not Black.

A personal observation: I have notes more so lately than ever that there a quite a few Black women out there with men not of the black race. Interracial dating is happing at both the high class and lower class levels, of black women. So I think that as black women we are “expanding our horizons” but unlike some others we are not forgetting our “past view.”

YES, I've followed the statistics and witnessed it in my own family (of the19 cousins 9 male and 10 female, only 3 females are married and only 1 male isn't).
I believe in being open to wherever you may find someone of worth to be in a relationship with. Don't get me wrong I love Black American men. I think they are fabulous, but why limit yourself.
I personally think the movie was great for opening more white (& non-Black) guys eyes to see that we are date-able. Any movie that shows Black American Women as being desireable in a positive light I think is needed.

People should marry who they fall in love with. Having said that, you should open your heart and mind for all the possiblities out there. Why would you limit yourself by dating only in your race??

I just saw the movie something new last week too. I believe that more black people should be open to dating whoever they fall in love with regardless of color. Erase those color lines.

I saw that movie with a black girl i am white. I am not sure maybe but i can tell you that she is crazy and might have ruined it for the rest of the black race out there loking to date me!

black woman today are.dateing is just that a date,tomorrow it is somthingelse,so yes they should,why life is much more than colours..
