i've talked to her, but she's real indesicive about "popping the question." I'm sure she will like it either way. I haven't even gave thought to doing it publicly.. maybe you have ideas... like at a ballgame or in a resturant.

Don't risk it, dude. It's too important an event for her. If you have any doubt about her wanted to be proposed to in public, do it in private.

agreed. you should do it the way she wants it - if you're about to ask her to spend the rest of her life with you, you have to let her know that you can give her what she wants (a private proposal)

You should do whatever will please her. Some people don't like the attention.
