Hi folks,

I am looking for a list of some of the more popular communities online - forums - where people get together to discuss the environment and how they can do their part in helping keep this planet nice 'n green.

I've done a few searches on Google, but so far all I'm coming across are half-dead forums with the most recent posts dating from a week or two ago.

So, does anyone known of a popular, active, lively online forum dealing with environment and "green living"?

Cheers,
George

P.S. If you own such a community and it's active enough to meet the criteria specified above, feel free to post the link here and I'll happily check it out.

An interesting article in Yahoo Green about this issue:

http://green.yahoo.com/index.php?q=node/1009

The problem is that we can't be sure how much of our coal supplies are realistically extractable. By conservative estimates, we have 77 years of coal reserves left at our current consumption rate.

Of course, our consumption rate has doubled over the past 50 years, but then again, ideally we'll be moving away from coal and toward renewable energy.

I thought this was interesting because many times I've seen people claim that we have hundreds of years of coal reserves left, but this may not be the case.

Thoughts?

Ok.

About a month ago I got stung by a wasp.

Long story short, it cured me of the lyme disease that I've been suffering from for over 2 years now.

But I have no idea what kind of wasp it was.

It looked like a yellowjacket...but instead of black and yellow it was black and white.....and only had stripes on the rear half of its body.....also, it was slightly larger then a yellowjacket.

Any idea what it was?

The White House apologized for recommending fuel-efficient cars because none of them were made by American manufacturers.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070920/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/fuel_economy_apology;_ylt=AtVgUlK1UdmQ_dexrlmsTXsjzKIX

Even if you go to www.fueleconomy.gov, the government lists the most fuel efficient cars by class and except for one, they are all foreign.

Why would the White House play politics with the truth? Why don't they just call out Detroit for making crap cars?
