I always keep receipts until I know the product is OK, but coincidentally today, I went to M&S bought a couple of tops, some knickers and a pack of tights, got home and when I looked at the price marked on the tops, I think have been overcharged, but can I find the bloody receipt? No.

Yes I keep receipts. For a short time. It is just in case anything I buy is faulty. The shop always wants the receipt as proof of purchase. Otherwise you end up throwing the item away and paying for another (usually another brand)

I keep receipts only for bills I've paid and anything that may be tax deductible. I keep receipts for large purchases just in case they need to be returned. Yes I can find them.

Yes and no.
Yes for tax purposes: items purchased or services that can be used at tax time.
Yes for other stuff, until I get the data entered into Quickbooks; once the data's entered, I toss the receipts; unless I think I may need it for a return in the future.

I've got hundreds of them should be interesting when I need to find all the Coop ones when I need to claim my divi come January. I usually keep the others for 3 months or when I eventually find them before getting rid of them whichever comes last. The really important ones I keep for 7 years

I keep receipts for expensive items and perhaps for clothes I haven't tried on in the shop, or bought for my family. I stick them to our notice board and then everynow and then I'll have a clearout and get rid of the ones I don't need anymore.

For the most part yes, only because the quality of stuff no days is so poor you usually either take it back twice to try and get one that works or by the third time you need it for a refund.

Yes "D", old habits die hard, with over thirty years in business, I still keep all receipts and file them, I can find anything in minutes! how sad it that? but I must say, it often comes in handy.
