Leave it on all the time and keep the thermostat at about 20C. for a decent living temperature.The boiler works hard to get the temperature up initially but then it uses a lot less gas than being used in short bursts as outlined.

If you leave it at a warm temperature all the time, the heat will simply escape to the outside atmosphere while you're gone and the heater will have to continue to work to keep the house warm. If you don't need the home to be warm, there's no sense in wasting this heat.

High short burst as i use to do all this when i first moved in here 17 years ago because i am tight with my heating but some People will say to leave low on but you will then get a high bill,

if you leave it on 24/7,there will be times when you dont need it on so you turn it off completely,then if you switch it off you will need to heat the water from cold each time and the radiators from cold too,i would sugest to you leave it on but very low and turn it up in small levels to build the heat up nicely,you probably just like thousands of other people myself included come home switch the heating on and twist the wall control for the heat level right off of its axis from 0 to max and a little bit more if you can lol ,thats when the bills start to get very high,i would say leave it on 10-15 c when you arent really using it and go up in increments of 5 to 7 c every 10mins until you have the heat as you want it
