You don't have to create an account, you don't have to sign up for anything. Just click the link, and the link will lead you to a tree. Every time someone visits this tree, another "visit" is added into a pool, and once it gets to 100 million visits, the website will donate money to the organization. Each day, your visits are renewed and you can visit this same tree again and donate another click to the pool! ^^ Bookmark it if you'd like, and if you want to create a tree yourself, it's fun to see how many people visit your tree, but as I said before, it's not required to help out! Fun to post on myspace or other sites that your friend play, to see how many people check out your links every day once you post them. I don't know, just an idea. Have fun with it!

Nuclear power plants always get a bad rap, but they are one of the cleanest sources of energy. I'm sure there are a lot of environmental nuts on here...just wondering what your takes are on this. Solar and wind power are still in there infancies, so why support nuclear power. It's highly regulated, there's virtually no chance of a nuclear 'spill' and it could replace coal burning electrical plants.

Okay, I can see that dryer sheets are a perfect example of consumer over-indulgence, but is there an aspect of what they consist of that does a good deal of damage to the environment?

I'm doing a research on Multnomah Falls and my job is to play the ecologist and find solutions to the environment being threatened (which in my case is Multnomah Falls) However I can't seem to find any website or info that states that these Falls are being threatened...So my question is....is this environment being threatened or not? And if it is how? Please provide link if possible!!!!

Will the dams ever be 100% again in my lifetime? When will we see a summer where there are no bush fires and no water restrictions? Or will this be reality for this country for a very long time to come.

Mind you, a dry golf course is an eye sore.

A lot of the skills that used to be used are very eco friendly. Do you have any of these eco friendly skills? Do you still use them?

I am thinking about the old skills which used things they had to hand, because they grew locally or used recycled materials such as:
bottling, jam making and preserving
willow items, baskets, lampshades
coppicing, drystone walling
curing meats and skins
making home prepartions for toiletries, medicines
making carts, buggies, trailers,
making own gardening implements/tools
bee keeping, making beeswax products
rag rug making, darning - who can darn now?

Any other old fashioned eco friendly skills you have?

I am 41, when we were kids everyone played outside. Kids went shooting, fishing, poaching, cycling, rambling, played in all the woods, meadows and streams. Is it much better for the environment now that they all stay indoors and play computer games?

Or not? Why not?

Imagine, your Aunt dies and leaves you money in her will equivalent to 30,000 British Pounds. The only clause is that you have to spend it on an environmentally friendly product/service/item or issue. And you MUST SPEND it or it is given to the local cat's home. What would you buy?

I was horrified to see Rona employee - paint department dump a big drum of chemicals directly in the storm sewer that goes straight into the creek (and there are Atlantic Salmon and other fish in the creek this time of year)

Another one, my workplace has two "oil-drums" with some waste chemical stuff in it without lids, and if it tips...eeeew !!!

I don't want to cause people trouble (that Rona store paint employee, or my own employer, or my own job at my workplace), I just want to totally stop future damage. Where can I get results ?????????????

i hate environmentalists. expecialy the ones that protest to STOP DRIVING all together..

well dipshits, what would we do with the highways? plant trees in them? what would we do about all the money that has gone into cars? all the stocks, the companys, stores, linked econommical systems. and all that other ****?

gettin rid of them completley would **** up the economy,

and during your protest you make like a million protesting signs...SAVE THE TREES, well **** face, what are those posters made of.

basicly my point is, IF EVERYTHING, that environmentalists wanted to happen...happened, alot of things would be ****** up.. for PEOPLE, in my opinon PEOPLE are more important for living then a coulple of deer, or cows. every time a cow farts it harms the layer..so lets save them all, make the gas 100 fold! right? idiots.

im okay if you want to talk about changing the world, but dont pressure me with this ****, part of the reason why people dont listen is because you force em to

If you walk down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, you'll see lots of fans maintaining their favorite celebrity's star. At Stonehenge, there are Druid worshippers. In every yard in every subdivision across America, there are homeowners meticulously tweaking the landscaping around their phone, cable TV and electric boxes. What's the dealio. Why do you do it! Have the utility companies every complained?
