I am doing a report on Invasive Speices and I want something that is popular and causing alot of damage and cost a lot of money.

Pampas grass is found naturally south of the border, but here is very invasive and sometimes a problem because of the weight of the root structure on rain-laden slopes. Yet it is carried in nurserys and catalogues for sale, while agencies spend funds to fight and eradicate it in wild areas.

African-clawed frogs are a nightmare once entrenched in our waterways, yet some people like to keep them as pets and sometimes dump them when they get bored of it.

Take a good look at Australia. They have had major problems with feral pigs, camels, cats, cane toads, rodent species and more.

Florida is another good example. They have just about every species of non-indigenous reptile you can think of flourishing and decimating local wildlife in the process.

Rainbow trout. People have stocked them in waters all over the world. In the western USA, they have pushed many of the native (cutthroat trout) out by being more aggressive and hybridizing. The government is spending large sums of money to get rid of rainbow trout and hybrids in many of these streams and trying to return the native trout...
