Well, it is labeled "The Land of Fruits and Nuts" too many and you can make some terrible gazpacho!
Too much self expression, too much money, the laws only pertain to those who can pay enough to get around them, and every day is like a movie. What do you expect?

No crazier than they ever do.
We moved here the year after Charles Manson and his cohorts savagely murdered 9 people. There are definitely some crazies in the mix.
