i kind of need an answer quick. i need this answer as soon as someone is willing to answer for me. my homework was about swans and i couldn't find out where swans live from anything. (don't worry, it was an internet assignment. i'm not cheating.) so just where ever they live or how many states they live in is fine too.

thank you very much! :)

There are only 3 native swan species found in the US..Tundra Swan, Trumpeter Swan, and Mute Swan. There are introduced swan species that are non-native and may be found just about anywhere. Here are range maps for the wild native swans.

I live along the Fox river in Illinois. I have seen swans in that river on several occasions and one pair nested there for the summer about four years ago.
According to my Audubon book, Alaska is the ONLY reliable place to find them in the U.S. Canada gets the bulk of them up in the Arctic tundra regions.
