technically saying, all spiders are poisonous but it depends on how poisonous they are, ways to tell if they are poisonous by using these clues that apply to MOST spiders, not all but MOST
1. does it use a web to catch prey- spiders that use giant webs are usually not too poisonous. orb weavers tend to not bite unless forcefully pressed against skin
2. does it run quickly- spiders that run quickly are hunters, they have a very poisonous bite
3. does it live underground- spiders that live underground are called trap-door spiders, they have a very poisonous bite
4. is the web messy - the messier the more poisonous, does not apply to cellar spiders (daddy long legs) but does apply to other spiders such as the black widow
5. is the web neat- the neater the web the less poisonous the spider (usually but not always)

They belong to the Araneidae family.. My books do not list the Spiny backed orb weaver but like most spiders they are not considered dangerous. All spiders are poisonous but most would not waste it on something they couldn't capture and eat.
