well there was this show on tv ,i don't remember when, but they were doing it so that we can start helping the earth because of you know pollution,global warming,and you know all that stuff so i asked this question so if you think people just went to the concert and to see the artists or do you think people will start helping our world?

there is evidence that romans used to grow wine grapes in southern britain, and in some places around the coast that used to be accesible by boat that are now miles inland. maybe this is supposed to happen every so many years?

"This should settle the debate," said Mike Lockwood, from the UK's Rutherford-Appleton Laboratory, who carried out the new analysis together with Claus Froehlich from the World Radiation Center in Switzerland.

Dr Lockwood initiated the study partially in response to the TV documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle, broadcast on Britain's Channel Four earlier this year, which featured the cosmic ray hypothesis.

"All the graphs they showed stopped in about 1980, and I knew why, because things diverged after that," he told the BBC News website.

"You can't just ignore bits of data that you don't like," he said.

"Mike Lockwood's analysis appears to have put a large, probably fatal nail in this intriguing and elegant [cosmic ray] hypothesis."

Live Earth was cute and all, but it did nothing but raise millions of dollars. Lots of people contributed lots to land fills, 250,000 air miles were traveled, countless car miles, etc. All which helped the environment I am sure. Out of all of this nobody suggested anything realistic we should be doing. Car exhaust bad? Agreed. Flying bad? ok. Recycling? Good idea. But nobody is going to stop driving, stop flying or stop even recycling tomorrow.

I'd like to see the big celebs and musicians, politicians, etc. give up there mansions, private jets, etc. and lead by example. Then maybe I will think about parking my SUV which all I do with it is drive to work, paying 3 bucks a gallon for gas, to feed my family. To get some left overs after the big corporations have taken everything. I won't make any big lifestyle changes, I can't afford to.

Tell me what I can do now that's free to reverse climate change which by every scientists own account, can not be reversed?

i was just researching this,and i found out that the U.S. government was thinking of different ways to dispose of nuclear waste.one of them was that they could launch it into space.another was that they could just simply put it into metal barrels with heating elements,and put them in antartica,and wait for them to melt through to the rocksheets many miles down. also,yet another one was to bury the in salt,and wait for the salt to crystalise and soon plasticise ove the barrels...does anybody else think this is unethical and WRONG.because no matter where we put them,somebody in some other future time WILL find them,no matter how hard we hide them.so,is it just me,or do other people care about disposal of nuclear waste???

Can someone please tell me what that means? And my question is would you be able to indefinitely power a small fridge, a TV and other things on that wind turbine which costs $3 000? I'm posting this many times because I'm not satisfied with the answers I already received. People are just not making it simple enough to comprehend. Its all spanish to me.

run on hydrogen? I don't have alot of money, so where could I get it converted, and where can I get hydrogen? Can it be a diesel truck too? I am thinking of getting a diesel, but if hydrogen only works on regular gas trucks, I'll go with that.

Everyones still jumping on planes and driving around in gas guzzling cars so what effect on the the environment does switching off lights, getting baths instead of showers really make ? my guess is very little.

What neat ideas do you have to cut down on the amount of household wastage? Have you come up with any little tricky ways of recycling things in your home?
Here are a few i thought of....
Gardening Pillows......Use those plastic bags you inevitably end up bringing home when you forget to take your cloth ones shopping by stuffing an old pillow case full of them ( overstuffing works best) and stich it shut...this creates ideal pillows to cushion your knees when working in the garden.
Old records....place the record atop a heat proof bowl and heat at full in the oven, the record will melt and create a cool bowl for any use..( under pot plants, fruit bowl, etc..)
Paper....pulp and set in brick molds use in the fireplace....
Wogga Rugs...use old woolen clothes to make big thick blankets( 2-3) layers all darned together and put in doona cover...
Rag mats...
I have heaps more..if you are interested email me...
Can you share anything you do?
