i was buringing some paper in the fire place earlyer today the smell wont go away what do i do. before my dad gets home quick

Do you have any oranges/lemons? Cinnamon powder in the kitchen. toss some pine cones into the fireplace and light it- he'll ask you how you made the house smell so good. If you don't have pine cones put orange peel/lemons cut up/cinnamon sticks in a small pan of boiling water and let it simmer gently on the stove. Even slices of apples. Let me know if it worked.

Turn on the fan and open nearby windows.
If the smell still won't go away grab some febreze or oust and spray it in the room, nothing too strong or your parents will think you're trying to cover something up, (which you are =]) but you don't want them to know that

sweep it out, dispose of the ashes outside and wipe something down with pine cleaner........anything at all, it's just to get the smell in the air.
