I want to be a park ranger and am thinking about joining the SCA. What do you think of it? How much would i have to travel?

First off they are a great organization, so go for it. You can be temporary park rangers or work in the same parks year after year. If you like to travel, then the possibility is there. Obviously, the more flexible you are, the more chance you have of getting a position quickly.

I laud you choice of careers!
You are becoming a conservative! (One who conserves.)
Keep in mind the differences between conserving and preserving.
Conserving involves responsible use, not waste of the environment and natural resources,
Preserving prevents change. Preserving leads to stagnation, decay, forest fires, etc.
Some things should be preserved. Put them in museums.
The environment needs to be conserved. That requires management and work. A good Conservative benefits everyone. Those who WASTE are not conservatives.
