If Nostradamus prediciton is just a theory...not true, people still neglect it and don't prevent it from happening or prevent it from coming true. Human kind has forgotten to think about the nature and preffer to think more about themselves.

Many of his prediction did come true. What are we waiting for (last mintues and then blame god for all the things that we did 'cause we preffer to neglect all the being around us.) Lord created the nature not pollution point that and remember that.

Everything can be stop... {where they is a will; they is a way} the door is open but we just don't want to open that door cause it has only LOVE, PEACE, KINDNESS, etc.. all good but the road is difficult. so instead of taking the difficult road we too the easy road that is Dead End to all mankind.

Whats your take on Global Warming? Greenhouse gasses, 10,000 year cycle, load of nothing?

what mislead you to believe CO2 is changing the temperature right now? There have been greater amounts of CO2 during the earth's history than what is in the atmosphere currently. Also, within the last 20,000 years, there have been far faster increases in temperature than what we have now. And there were no SUV's back then. And the human population back then was far less than 50 million people (around the size of the population of England).

I am just trying to understand why some people are so vehemently opposed to doing and using "green" things that help the environment.

I just don't understand why... it saves money, it saves the environment and it helps to reduce pollution. Regardless of weather or not you "believe" in global warming (as if it is a religion) do people still not see all of the positive benefits of using green products and building green LEED certified homes and buildings?

I'm really confused and would like real answers from real people who are against environmentalism.

thanks

No, this isn't for school, but I'm really interested in knowing what the immediate benefits of dredging rivers and lakes etc are. Is dredging reversible? Would it be better to dredge a river, or to leave it in it's natural state?

Is anyone else enraged by the fact that electric cars were taken off assembly lines in America? We had a chance to change history and pollution levels in a dynamic fashion. Now, they are releasing 'hybrids' in America that get an average of only 25/mpg, which is a mokery of electric car's fuel-free performance.

Where do we go from here after such injustice by so many contributors (motor companies, government, ignorant consumers, California Air Resource board)? It makes me lose faith in our country.

Why not transform all the trash being generated into raw material rather than using landfills at all? It would be a lot more profitable to do the job rather than waiting for 50 years for nature to do it.

This dog is kept in a conservatory - this is its kennel. We live in terraced houses & the owner + dog moved in Christmas 2005. It is a total nightmare living next door to this neighbour - she has no respect for me or her dog who she often leaves for 10 hours. The conservatory doors are left open and the dog wanders the garden. She sprays potpourii in the conservatory and the combination of that and stale sweat from the dog is revolting. I have tried involving the Council but I came up with a 'smartie' who tried to pull my statement apart instead of trying to solve the problem.

Are there any rules regarding keeping animals to the point of upsetting neighbours?

This can't be a normal situation surely.

I can't go in my garden to sit and enjoy because it just about chokes me after a couple of minutes. I can't hang my washing out because I think that will smell as well.

And how can I sell with above legacy?

By the way this dog is a bullmastiff (at a guess 10 stone)

Biomass begins with plants and every other living thing is a part of the biomass so it seems logical plants are basic and everything else follows.

Is it true that evergreen pine trees, when planted in a landfill, will acually remove the poisons from the garbage from the ground and help to purify the earth. I forget where i heard this.

They are older ones that are in bad shape due to a lot of time in storage. I can't donate them to a libary because they don't work, and I don't want to just throw them away.

How come with the technology that's over 50 years old ( that I know of ) are we still waiting for an automobile that runs on Hydrogen ??? .
I know their out there but we're still letting Detroit push gas guzzling monsters on us and then turn around and blames us for using what they design and build , we can't build our own automobiles , if we did some of the oil company's would go belly up along with some of the automobile company's .

How can they believe in global warming, when satellite monitoring can find no significant heat increase along with the increase in CO2 output? Also, it has been found that it was, at one point, hotter in the Dark Ages--when there was less CO2 output--than it is today?!
