Is it because the ash particles block the formation of clouds, hence leading to the winter like conditions. If not, give your scientific evidence. Thanks

If the glacier and ice melt down, what would happen to our continents?

Would we be able to resist the cycloons and floods?

Would we be able to resist the scorching heath?

Is it a matter of single continent or whole world?

Are not we all at stake?

If we don't cater the factors causing global warming, would not it be strangling our lives?

Be a leader in the transition from our old electric grid to a smart, reliable, and renewable one.
Homeowners now have the opportunity for a Solar Electric System without the up-front investment.
You pay only for the electricity that is generated. What’s more, it costs the same as your electricity
service does today, but unlike your electric company, the price will stay the same for up to 25 years. To find out more go to www.jointhesolution.com/lonestarsolar

As opposed to most chemicals used to clean wastewater, such as chlorine or aluminium salts, talc is a natural, environmentally-friendly mineral additive.(Mainly this next part) And because it is inert, it preserves the fertilizing value of sewage sludge.

Rivers and lakes that recieve water from glacial meltwater often appear milky blue in color. Explain why this occurs.

ok this is the question and i'm not sure if i'm right but i think it has something to do with the rocks that glaciers carry and then it the glacier melts washing off the color of the rock or something like that plz help thank you! ^_^

Does anyone know any searchable Canadian environmental databases? I'm looking for a site where I can enter a company name or address and find what kind of histories they've had (chemical spills, leaking storage tanks, etc.). Thanks!

in school lately we have been talking about global warming and earth day and stuff. I have been thinking about how much we pollute our world and how it affects us. I want to start picking up trash on the side of the road and planting flowers and trees but i am afraid that people will think i am a nature freak. I know that if they think that then they are not a good person so dont say that because i am not a nature freak and do not want to be one. I just want to help put a litte. Should i help or not? Thnx.

We have a relatively small batch waste treatment system. We have two 10K gallon tanks. They have activated sludge from the municipal waste treatment facility. Our water is fairly clear, the TSS is about 200 mg/l. We think our problem is soluble BOD contributing to oil and grease. Our limit for O/G is 100 mg/l and we've been around 124 and 150 on a couple of occasions. Would it help to seed with industrial bacteria specifically tailored to our needs? Where are some sources for such products?

my personal "carbon foot print". The entrie thing seems silly to me. I also found out recently that Al Gore was the mastermind behind the Y2K scam and that he owns a zinc mine which is the primary ingrediant in fuel cells! Seem to me this entire thing is just anothe global "Goring"! What about you?

I am learning about Biodiesel. Though I know it is renewable and better than petroleum as far as emissions I'm not sure how it compares to a higher mpg like a hybrid.

Richard Branson, the Virgin Airlines billionaire, with Al Gore (An Inconvenient Truth) are offering a money prize for someone who can show how to remove 1 billion tons of carbon from the planet's 7 billion ton annual discharge. This is called the Virgin Earth Challenge contest or the Branson prize for climate change to help end global warming.

Should the Virgin Earth Challenge judges award the Branson millions to the people who came up with three battery breakthroughs, and made an electric pickup truck work only on dead (scrapped) batteries, which reduce pollution at the same time?

The BBC documentary "The Truth About Global Warming" said that approx. 1/2 (around 50%) of a typical family's carbon output came from the typical families two automobiles.

Here's a link to the revived battery breakthrough in newspapers and TV:

So, pretend that you're be the Virgin Airlines Earth Challenge judge.
