And why does it have catastrophic implications?

Be as detailed as possible since many readers are not aware of the impact this relationship will have and this information will educate and help them become aware of another peril affecting our environment.

I live on a barrier island in New Jersey and have always had a problem with people having lawns and the water they used to keep them lush and green. I've always been a proponent of a low water garden or stones to landscape a home. Someone told me that even with the water usage a lawn is better because it helps keep his home cooler and thus reduces his energy use for air conditioning his home. Does this make sense, have I been wrong all these years? He claimed that stones, mulch or sand would store heat throughout the day.

I have a project where I must design a board game (or something similar) that is designed for 8-10 year olds while teaching them what exactly climate change is.
For example, how would you explain what it means, what is being done, what needs to be done, and why, etc. Any help or other input is highly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a question which is engineering based. i understand this question is probably not possible but I am wondering if anyone with a greater understanding of physics and engineering might have something forward looking ideas or something to add.

In a simple explanation i think it would be possible some how to use human pedal like power to turn a generator of the same size you would use at a nuke plant. Its clear a human can not directly turn it pedal power so no flames please, my question is what what laws of physics could we integrate together to allow this to happen.

Don't forget coal plants and nuke plants which turn these generators are very very costly to run. I should say Extremely costly to run. So try to think of it this way you have let say 12 humans per 8 hour shift per one generator, and they are going to be cream of the crop for this duty.

Give your best answer, answers which say its not possible are fine just back it up. Thanks and have fun

is filled to a pressure of about 20,000 kPa at 300K. The volume of the tank is 26 liters. You begin to wonder, if the temperature remains constant, what would happen to the volume of the gas in the tank if its preasure increases? Which of the four processes describes this preasure- volume relationship with a constant temperature?

I am doing a paper on the above topic, and I am finding it hard to say alot beside the obvious rise in temperature/sea
level. One of the things I want to establish is the connection btw GW and El Nino effect. As El Nino effect has brought many catastrophic disasters to small islands in the South Pacific. So if you have access to any data/article that shows the correlation between the two then please let me know. Moreover, feel free to input anything you think is relevant to this topic.

I recently heard of a research vessel dumping 20 tons of iron dust into the water near Galapagos Island (ironically the island that darwin went to to study nature). The iron dust will cause phytoplankton to boom on the ocean’s surface, which, in theory, will then suck tons of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and sink it deep into the ocean. Soon, our oceans will be filled with co2, which will increase the acidicity of the ocean and destroy the beautiful coral reefs and kill thousands of species of wildlife.

Is killing all of those sea cretures worth our lives?? Is it worth it??? After all, WE are the ones that cause all of these problems...
