That's rather like the old question, "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there, does it make a sound?" Anyone who answers this question COULD answer correctly. However, we will never know; will we?

Nothing will last forever but I would say a VERY long time. Even dinosaurs are still being found. Eventually it would slip thru the techtonic plates and burn up in the mantle.
