Think about the many countries and continents on our planet and the bodies of water that separates them. Where would you build an underwater tunnel if you could ? Tell what places you would want to connect and why an underwater tunnel would be a good way to do it.

I'm doing a research project for 8th grade Social Studies. To help answer my thesis question, I would like to take a poll. Please, no spam answers or effortless answers.

Do you know that air pollution and global warming could lead to:

Trillions of dollars wasted on attempts to stop global warming
Damage to our lakes, causing fish to die and slowing our eco-system

Increased death rates from deadly fumes in the air (4.6 million people die per year today!)

Increased temperature resulting in the number and intensity of floods, droughts, hurricanes, heat waves, and species extinction

This is not all. There are many things that will hurt us. Please answer honestly.

Seriously, what are we going to do about human over-population? Stop having children? Euthenize? Not care? How would the gov't deal with this? I'm looking for serious thinkers here please.

We're all worried about the fate of our planet, yet we still go out and start our fossil fuel burning cars every day, Our pollution pumping factories still pumping away, our Jet Fuel burning aircraft still filling the upper stratosphere with pollution still fly every day, Our daily smokers polluting the air "every day!",...When does it stop??? Apparently it won't. We're an ignorant race even though we call ourselves the most intelligent species. "yeah right!" So our planets' so polluted, so congested, so filthy and nearly stripped of it's life,...ahh who cares right? Let's all go drive our cars some more ~! "sigh!" Speaking for myself,...99% of the people on this planet "DONT CARE" Or they just figure it's somebody elses problem. If it's really that far gone why don't we all just buy ourselves a few chemical factories and get it the heck over with ! Maybe we can create a nice Tsunami & just wipe everything out it one swift blow ! Wouldn't that be great!??,..again,...Sigh!

Does anyone know what is in the pesticides on our fruit and veg and what, if any, affect they can have on our bodies?

Tubs of fruit, eg Tesco, often state to wash before use, this is not always possible and when it is, does a quick rinse under the tap remove the chemicals anyway??
