There are a lot of bad things in our environment but all of them are secondary to electricity! Without electricity we would be able to do very few of the smog creating things we do on a daily basis. Think about it. Where does smog come from and why? What about the ozone layer? Don't get me wrong I like electricity but it has been grossly abused and that is sad. It is in much the same way a lot of other abuses take place.
Another best change that could happen in this world is for people to realize the importance of our children and the future they hold in their hand. They need our protection from predators and murderers. They need to have the chance to lead and create a better place for life and then once this has been accomplished we need to get on with the business of cleaning up the mess we have made of this our life sustaining planet so we can enjoy our children and this wonderful, beautiful world we live in.

internal combustion engine ,,
if we had gone straight into an atlantis type technolegy
maybe anti gravity and solar and nuclear power ,we would have had a different globe to day ,with hardly any roads ,with less polution and less deforrestation ,with people being in the air straight away.
