Scientists criticizing Gore:

"Current scientific consensus holds that human industrial activity has sharply increased the amounts of carbon dioxide and other "greenhouse gases" in the atmosphere, and that average temperatures worldwide will rise for at least the next century — but at a much more gradual rate than that depicted in "An Inconvenient Truth."

Warming on Mars:

"While evidence suggests fluctuations in solar activity can affect climate on Earth, and that it has done so in the past, the majority of climate scientists and astrophysicists agree that the sun is not to blame for the current and historically sudden uptick in global temperatures on Earth, which seems to be mostly a mess created by our own species."

I am trying to make my mind up about global warming and what is causing it. I have come across a lot of evidence that temperatures have been rising in the last few decades, as well as evidence of increased levels of greenhouse gases including CO2. But there seems to be no clear link between the two that I can find, other than that they occur at the same time. Can someone point me to a place where this is cleary explained and proven?

The maze has pods w/tubes, all transparent to watch the bugs. We live in NYC and the only bugs I can think of I don't want in the house (read: roaches and ants). My daughter likes potato (roly poly) bugs, but it's not quite spring in NYC yet and I don't know what they like to eat and I think they prefer to hide under rocks, thus not an interesting bug. Any suggestions on what bugs, what do they eat and are they interesting?

You know, those dryers that blow hot air all over your hands, you're rubbing your hands together and eventually (like after a minute) your hands are dry. On the dryer, they have a message saying "This hand dryer saves the environment by reducing the number of trees that are cut down and keeps the restroom clean by preventing unnecessary refuse."

I'd like to see a comparison of the environmental impact of one of these dryers vs. the paper towel method.
