This morning on the news they have finally said, that Global warming is real and it is our fault. Can we reverse the damage done? How? How many individuals will it take to make an impact as opposed to large manufacturers?

Diesel? SUV? An older car with no catalytic converter? I was just wondering. I think that an old car with a V8 engine that is out of tune and doesn't have a catalytic converter would be the worst. Does anyone know where I can buy a car like that? I want more global warming! It's freezing here! Temps are going to be way below freezing this weekend!

According to most researchers, global warming is now in a cycle that cannot be stopped. There are regions of permafrost now melting that have been frozen for 11,000 years. Most of these regions are frozen peat boggs which are releasing greater amounts of CO2 into the air. Even if human CO2 gas release were to stop today, global warming will continue for centuries.

Most studies point to dire problems arising from global warming, but none give any possible positive outcome. Since this appears to be a ride we cannot stop, is there any upside to global warming?

I would say that a majority of the planet thinks it is a human caused phenomena, and you may say that "the entire planet used to think the earth was flat" but the difference is that belief didnt have the power to destroy the human race.

SO: 1. do you believe it?
2.what do you think should be done about it?
3. most important, how can we get Rush's attention?

Did I miss something or does anyone else think this is a dumb idea. Up to now I threw my emply wine and liquor bottles in my blue box to be recycled. Now I have to drive across town to get my deposit back on the bottle and have someone else throw it in a blue box. While doing this I burn gas which contributes to air pollution and global warming. Where is the sense in that. If I choose to continue to throw the bottle in my blue box, someone else will take it out, drive across town to get the deposit and pollute the air. What idiot came up with this plan??

Considering that we've only been measuring the climate for 150 years on 5 billion year old planet, and considering that this planet has been warmer in the past than it is now, how can we be so certain that this time we are the cause of global warming? Feel free to attack. Being a Global Warming denier is nearly as bad morally as being a Holocaust denier.

Like millions of others, I have believed that we are the cause of the current changes in climate. I have just read a book (State of Fear, Michael Crighton) and it has made me think. There are many references to scientific research at the foot of the pages giving the Novel some authenticity.

How do I gain access to scientific research papers, so that I can read and make my own decision on this very important issue?

According to many voices today, if the polar ices melt, the sea-level will rise.

How much of the ice near the north and south pole are located "on land," that is not floating in the water?

If an iceberg melts, it shouldn't rise the sea level. Or is it different with the enourmous ices at the poles?

Thanks for any smart input.

International scientists and officials hailed a report Friday saying that global warming is "very likely" caused by man, and that hotter temperatures and rises in sea level "would continue for centuries" no matter how much humans control their pollution.

The scientists said the changes are "very likely" caused by human activity, a phrase that translates to a more than 90 percent certainty that global warming is caused by man's burning of fossil fuels. That was the strongest conclusion to date, making it nearly impossible to say natural forces are to blame.

Give us your example of a why is happening and what we can do for stoping this Disaster from dominating of earth?
