International scientists and officials hailed a report Friday saying that global warming is "very likely" caused by man, and that hotter temperatures and rises in sea level "would continue for centuries" no matter how much humans control their pollution.

The scientists said the changes are "very likely" caused by human activity, a phrase that translates to a more than 90 percent certainty that global warming is caused by man's burning of fossil fuels. That was the strongest conclusion to date, making it nearly impossible to say natural forces are to blame.

Give us your example of a why is happening and what we can do for stoping this Disaster from dominating of earth?

Yes it is indeed a great threat to our coming generation and finally our beautiful earth.

I have given below some recommendations which might surely help.

The below recommendations will apply more to India as i am living in India and i have not traveled outside India.

1) At first, our transport government should wake up and understand the cause and effect of Global warming. I see every city buses giving off huge tonnes of lead. I think if seriously taken this will bring in loads of relief to Global warming

2) Pertaining to booming IT here, i find all the buildings are constructed with western type GLASS front buildings which needs more energy to keep the interiors cool. No doubt , this will show up good in aesthetics, but it is time we adopt some methods to wake up against global warming.

China and India and other Asian countries are planning on building over 600 coal burning power plants over the next 30 years. When all these power plants go on-line, you'll see pollution on a scale never witness in human history.

What can we do? Nothing.

The Vostok ice core data shows conclusively with 400,000 years of historical data that CO2 concentration has *never* affected global temperatures. To say that it does is equivalent to saying that if I shake a thermometer to increase the height of the enclosed mercury, it will cause the room to heat up.

We didn't start it, we can't do nothing about it. "The oceans will rise", what a crock. Did you know in recent history there were forest on the coast of Antarctica. Surely if the climate was warm enough to support these then we would have been under water.

We can not reverse what we have done with the current technology we have. We have just sped up the carbon cycle. With the constant destruction of plant life and the increase of emmisions all we can do is sit back and watch till our species is extinct. We either adapt or die. Unfortunatly we haven't learned to adapt and change our ways.
