Where are the meters? I assume there is a centralized clearing house for official meters to report to. Who is this? Thank you.

I know there are probably a million things I can do to be environmentally aware, but I need some suggestions on organisations I can volunteer for and things I can do in my own life to help save the planet.

Ethanool allows water to disolve into the fluid.Itdesolves fuel lines abd gaskets in the motors.Because it is so easy to block fuel lines and destroy fuel lines people will simply pour it out anywhere they can because there is no facility to recover discarded fuel contaminated with water.Your lawn mower, weed whacker,Outard or boat motor ,anything with a fiberglass fuel tank.Your moped and any other small motor will be subject to water damage or fuel line cloging.ETHANOL will cause more problems than it will solve.

How do I model an easy way to demonstrate natural selection? I have a biology experiment, and I have to create an experiment for it. I need a simple experiment, one that can be made with everyday materials (including those found in a biology classroom). For example, one idea I know about has to do with different colors of paper compared to the furs of animal. Please explain the procedure for the experiment, and the materials needed. Thanks.

Plastics are made from petrochemicals, meaning they're made from oil derivatives. Maybe we should stop burning oil and save it for constructive purposes. But if we can't, we need to find substitutes for plastics. Look around; most of the things you see are plastic--what will we use instead?

Henry's Law states that, at a constant temperature, the amount of a given gas dissolved in a given type and volume of liquid is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas in equilibrium with that liquid.

Some argue that this means the ocean has an automatic stabilizing affect on concentrations of CO2 in the atmosphere. I have doubts, but would like to hear from people who know more about this than I.

This is a science question, NOT a political one. Please, keep politics out of your answers and stick to the science.

Every single time I look at a question on Global Warming, the majority of the responses say something like "there is no evidence" of global warming. I ask you this: What cause is there for scientists to say global warming is real if it is not? And as well, I present to you the evidence:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_cores

An ice core from the right site can be used to reconstruct an uninterrupted and detailed climate record extending over hundreds of thousands of years, providing information on a wide variety of aspects of climate at each point in time. It is the simultaneity of these properties recorded in the ice that makes ice cores such a powerful tool in paleoclimate research.

Green represents CO2, while blue represents temperature.

Of course, now, CO2 and temperature can be recorded precisely. This just proves the link between them. And there is plenty of proof that we are causing the spike in CO2.
