recycle more?

Most councils now collect most things from the side of the road and it seems so easy yet loads of people still arent doing it enough.

What kind of promotion would really appeal to you or your agegroup to change the way you act???

As an alternative source of power I am thinking that in places where noise is prevalent like in factories and manufacturing plants, the noisy sound can be utilized to produce electricity. I have thought of this long before I read that the clicking sound on the computer keyboard can actually recharge to some extent the battery of laptop PCs.

a bio solution would be the most elegant, but which trees do the best job in converting cardon dioxide? and how do we keep them from being cut down for fuel and land clearing? So how many trees would we need to get a handle on this issue?

Can we design a carbon collector that we can drop anywhere and it will run itself with solar energy and collect carbon? We could then load a few thousands of them into a few Large Air Freighters and drop them over the mojave desert..

Get the idea? I expect we could develop different designs over time for different environments, all driven by solar energy and global energy.

Ideas?

I hear that it takes energy to split the bonds of carbon and oxygen.. how could we do this in a gaseous state? Would it make sense to do it at this level? I'd like a $100 dollar device I set out in my backyard next the the mosquito smoker and let it run all night.. or hook it up to my solar collector in the southwest and let it run all day while I'm at work? Ideas?

I don't understand why people don't believe in Global Warming eveb though there is so much evidence to support it. It is my belief that the last time it was this warm was several million years ago just before the ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica were formed. We are children of the Ice Age and cooler weather and I feel it's best to keep it that way. So I wonder, why do people believe there is no global warming and head straight into a world in which our species will suffer?
